Laurent Blanc has gone public once again on his admiration for Yohan Cabaye.
The Paris St-Germain manager has also thrown Tottenham Hotspur's name into the mix with comments that will infuriate Newcastle United.
Alan Pardew revealed earlier this summer that Blanc had been disrespectful talking about players at other clubs who are still under contract.
Pardew has spoken openly about Darren Bent and Bafetimbi Gomis, but only after Aston Villa made it clear the England striker wasn't wanted at Villa Park and it was Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas who told the media United were in for Gomis.
Blanc's latest comments on Cabaye today were: "He is a very good player, I have not changed my mind."I read that Tottenham are also interested.
"Newcastle, Tottenham or Paris, I hope he will be at a big club in September."

He He Yohanna, this could be an EPIC transfer window. I doubt he would mention us if he wasn't ITK, But where the hell are we playing all these midfilders, he would definitely give us a bit more creativity.

SURELY we're not in for him. Blanc says he "read" that we were interested so I'm thinking it's gotta be nothing more than speculation on his part.

Odd comment from Blanc. No need to mention Spurs.

I reckon that AVB is going to try his new pioneering formation this season.

It is a revolutionary 2-7-1, called the UFO!!
;)

EDIT: Would just like to apologise to Sunkmonkey who I have just noticed made a very similar comment/joke on the "Players with buy out clauses" thread. I didn't see your post until I had posted this.

Quality player and would take him wayyyy before someone like Pjanic who we've been linked to, but ultimately don't see where he fits in, we have too many CMs already.

I don't see why people hype him so much... Overrated for me. Dirty prick too.

Wouldn't be against having him, can't imagine the price would be right. Closest thing to a Modric replacement we could find though so I see why AVB would want him. Without Bale money I don't see us with the funds, and if we are adding another CM it needs to be defensive minded like Capoue.

This could be be the breakthrough we employed AVB for:

Soldado

Chadli Dembele Sandro Paulinho Capoue Sigurdsson Huddlestone Parker Lennon

Bale (GK)

Subs: Livermore, Falque, Carroll, Pritchard, Holtby, Cabaye, Nayim.

The title belongs to us.

See, if this was May I'd have been all over this.

But we've signed Paulinho and are about to get Capoue, no real need for him, even though he is great.

Nothing in this - unless we think Dembele is seriously fucked. Even then it would be hard to imagine.

Quality player though, no doubt.

Before we all fly off the handle at signing too many midfielders - this is less than a thirdhand report, its the most tenuous link possible. It's the coach of another team saying he's read - not even that he's heard, just that he's read, presumably in some red top - that we are interested in a player. The same player, it turns out, that he then confirms PSG are seriously interested in. Add that all up and there is probably less chance of Cabaye being a THFC player come September than just about anyone else in our Transfer Rumours.
