AC Milan are reportedly interested in signing South Korea international Yoon Suk-Young in January.
According to media reports in the Far East,

representatives from Milan were in South Korea recently to keep close tabs on the highly-rated defender.

Negotiations to bring Yoon to Serie A could begin as early as the next few weeks but the player's club Chunnam Dragons have so far played down the link.
QPR and Tottenham are also believed to be admirers of the 22 year-old, who turned down an opportunity to move to Europe in the summer to help his struggling team in the domestic league.
However, Yoon is expected to transfer abroad by next summer at latest and Milan appear to be favourites to land his signature. Source Skysports

Some additional info that i have researched, he's a left back that did very well at the recent Olympics. Could be decent cover for BAE.

Never even heard of him, so he's probably our #1 target.

Also, you'd kind of hope that if you're going for a guy playing in the K-League, that he'd be showing talents across all aspects of the game. He should be providing assists, goals, and also strong defense if we're considering a move for a 22-year old in the K-League (in my mind).

That being said, 87 career appearances for the Chunnam Dragons: 3 goals.

I agree. We need to be signing stars from the weaker leagues a la Verts unless they are extremely promising youngsters.

I wouldn't mind if we had a look at Son Heung-Min though. He's a prospect

Currently living in South Korea and can say that I have met many Koreans that fear the idea of leaving their homeland. That being said, there are individuals everywhere that have this same fear. He has traveled and had the chance to experience foreign cultures. Plus, I am sure there is a supportive Korean network in London.

Bring him here in January with an immediate loan to Swansea on the cards (they have been playing a youth player at LB all season as Taylor has a long-term injury). He is definitely best friends with Ki Sung-Yueng who is already at Swansea as they are both from the same country. This gives him time to adapt to the League and Britain before we reclaim him for next season.

EDIT: Just checked Ki's Wiki and Yoon is not one of his besties :(

'Ki likes to stay in touch with fellow Korean football players using Twitter.[34] He is close friends with Koo Ja-Cheol and Lee Chung-Yong.[35]'

My wife is Korean and she's successfully adapted to foreign cultures in the US, UK and Australia. Terrible left back though.
