Yes but Savage was just an average EPL footballer, who never made it at a big club - see Sidwell, Upson, Pennant, Routledge, Zamora, Bothroyd...

Bale is a world class player, who would be able to play for any team in the world.

Bales a class act no doubt about that but I do think he's settled at ours we play to him look for him if he went to say Real Madrid Barcelona etc he'd just be another player and would struggle to find the same form a bit like parrot nose has done this season .

Couldn't believe my eyes Saturday when I saw Routledge started in centre mid for Swansea. To be fair, I always had a soft spot for that kid, I'm glad to see he's pulled himself back into the big time.
