Manager: Martin Jol

Goalkeeper: Robinson-yea agree with above-relationship with fans, general legend.

Right-back: Chimbonda-for his hair and yellow boots.

Centre-back: King-Leadly

Centre-back: Mabutt-One of my very favourite spurs players, played so many games for us always gave his all, would have died for Spurs and played through with diabeties-True legend.

Left-back: Atouba-Got to be the most exciting LB ever.

Right midfield: Gazza-I know he's not a right mid but we've got to fit him in somewhere, what a talent and joy to watch and a crazy guy but a bit of a dude.

Centre midfield: Freund-Who didn't love him!

Centre midfield: Zokora-again similar to above, just agree that he's a legend. Can't shoot for shit, gives 110% you know he really cares for the club just a loveable players.

Left midfield: Ginola-because he was just so exciting and 'the Spurs player'

Centre-attacking midfield: Hoddle-Sums up our club as a player.

Striker: Theres only one!!!! KEANEO!!!!!!!!!!

I don't see how some of our greatest ever players can be defined as "cult " By definition cult would be players who appeal to a small group of supporters. Even if you argued that meant ALL Spurs supporters , players like Hoddle, Greaves , Mackay, Jennings and Klinsmann were universally recognised as great players , hardly qualify as cult figures. Some others listed by other posters- Freund, Conn, Tarrico , possibly even Defoe and Kanoute fit that description better.

At Spurs it has been quite common for strugglers to get so bad that they end up being liked in a cult way. Phil Beal took stick for his own goals while McAlister and Lacey just weren't very good:) Terry Gibson was a the centre of our 5-0 win over the gooners and absolutely terrorised Arsenal. Nayim is remembered as much for what he did against Arsenal for someone else! Terry Naylor was a basic hard boned player who had a good rapport with the fans. Van Den Hawe and Yorath were also well liked by fans in the short time they were with us.
