If Eriksen is staying we have enough. If he isn't we need to replace him with a creative A.M. We need fluidity so we can free up Kane and others. NDombele will help in that way more than we have but we would still need a somewhat creative AM

I want this to happen, the team desperately needs a good, consistent dribbler.

Son and Moura show flashes but more often than not will cut inside and run into traffic despite there being space down the outside.

Zaha can go both ways and attracts double teams so someone else will definitely have more space to operate.

Ndombele doesn't hesitate to play through balls and this should trigger Eriksen (or his replacement) to do the same. Suddenly the dynamics change in our favour and teams have pick their poison.

zaha gives us cutting edge we need in the final third

I'm just not sure he would. We've always been very good on the break. I'm not sure he'd really help us to break down teams that sit back.

I'd almost rather have a David Silva type for that

Just throwing it out there: How would people feel about selling Lucas and replacing him with Zaha?

From a business point of view it would be the perfect time to cash in on Lucas and replace him with a player that's homegrown and that can play both on the wing and vacate for Kane.

From a footballing point of view I'm not sure. Lucas has been fantastic for us this season, albeit not consistently, but he's shown that he's a real big game player.

From a footballing point of view, absofuckinglutely not. Lucas > Zaha.

Zaha is a good player but also inconsistent and doesnt work hard enough. He could move up a level from Palace but not this high of a jump.

Lucas scores more but less dynamic imo. I'd keep Lucas but I would like to see zaha in our squad but not at 60+ million though!

On every level I would be against it. Lucas, while inconsistent, seems humble, hard working and a fantastic member of the squad.

He's also, on his day, unbelievable. How many players in the world score that hat-trick? I prefer having him to Zaha and I think that trade would send a bad message

Someone's probably already suggested this, but would a move for Zaha indicate that Eriksen is staying and interest in Lo Celso has been dropped as a result?

I think the fact is that IF someone like Zaha is coming in, then it's likely we are seeing someone depart. Whether that's Lucas, Llorente, Lamella, or a mixture remains to be seen. Even so, funds would be freed up, so I am not concernend on a money front.

Zaha over Lucas though, tough one.

We do need to offload players (we have more than 25 who would need naming in the squad currently). Lamela and Llorente are the obvious 2 (isn't 'nando out of contract at the end of the month?).

Llorente was not retained. Lucas is better than Zaha and hopefully wont leave. Lamela is a different player than Zaha. And may not leave either.

Llorente hasn't been confirmed by the club as his contract ends in a few days, he wasn't listed with Vorm and the rest. People just assumed, but nothing official.

no thanks from me, don't need players waving their arms about for 5 minutes because he fell over with little contact. saw nothing in the match at our stadium opening to convince me he would be a good signing. he suits a team that has plenty of space to attack, and looks at his best when on the left. myself I'd rather Sonny on the left

I love Moura but people seem very confident he's better than Zaha. Drop Moura into that Palace team from last year and does he win as many matches for them as Zaha did?

I've just had a look and he's not on the Retained List that the club submitted to the PL. I'm not 100% sure what that means though.

It means technically he is still employed by us until his contract ends at the end of this month. I'm sure if he is released we'll release a statement next week.
