I think someone would pay £70 and that would be a fair compromise.

Who do you reckon would pay £70m? Only a few clubs could actually afford to do that. City, who don't need him. Liverpool, who don't need him. Chelsea, who are banned from signing anyone. United? Possibly...

Wonder how he must be feeling watching Wan-Bissaka move to United.

Probably a lot of jealousy, frustration and regret - I'd be very surprised if it doesn't trigger a move for him this summer.

Nobody is going to pay more than £60m for him though.

He has been there though. Why would he be jealous?

This is a funny one because he is almost exactly what we need but yet we are prioritising other areas. Sure we need a CM to replace Dembele and we need a better full backs but what we really need is another player who can beat players, is unpredictable and can score goals , enter ZAHA!!!!

We rely far far too much on Harry Kane and I don’t think ndomble and lo celso would fix that, yes we’d be better all round but ultimately whilst son Lucas and dele are good players they don’t score enough goals consistently enough for us and Kane is usually out for a few months every season so we 100% need adequate cover for him.
Depending on funds, id be looking at zaha next after ndomble not lo celso. Then lo celso can be an option to replace erisken if he leaves.
Sounds like Son.

I think that having Zaha would be brilliant, but we already have 2 pacy, wide forwards (soon to be 3 with Clarke). Zaha is a bit different with his skills and invention, but I don't think that position is as vital as fixing our midfield and the right back situation.

Since they are reportedly keen on KWP, and yesterday's ITK said all 3 of our RBs are free to go if the money is right.

Could we work him into a deal for Zaha, so that Zaha's fee is reduced, and Utd don't get as much from the clause?

Or is that too dodgy and not allowed.

Honestly I think it is mate, without Kane or son firing we look toothless, goals win games simple we don’t have enough firepower to win a title yet.

Arsenal possibly if they make sales and prioritise him. Otherwise can’t see him leaving tbh as I agree no one will meet that valuation.

As much as I’d like to see us sign him I think we obviously have a certain budget and it looks like we are prioritising a CM - Ndomble and possibly lo celso but he may be erisken replacement and so with regards to wing forward options I suppose instead of £70m on Zaha we are going to go for combined approx £40mil on Clarke and Sessengon which is fair enough as we do have reasonable cover up top if those 2 were added, just depends how quickly we need them to play regularly or not.

It always surprises me how little people think of Zaha. He's levels above Lucas as a winger IMO, and I assume that's the role we'd be looking for him to fulfil. Don't get me wrong, Lucas has had some special games and I like him, but he's not registered a league assist in 2 seasons and he remains inconsistent.

If we were playing a 4-3-3, a front 3 of Son, Kane, Zaha would be frightening. With the possible exception of Bale, I'm not sure who we could bring in that's better.

All that said, can't see it happening at all.

Hopefully Arsenal waste all summer chasing him only to come up short. It'll be the same old story. They won't let him go on the cheap.
