"You're not fit, you're not fit, you're not fit to run the league.........you're not fit to run the league!"

Sorry for keep taking this thread a bit off topic, but Lord Triesman has been apointed as the Football Association's first independent chairman. For starters i dont have a clue what it means, or if it effects anything in the premiership as its under international news on sky sports.

But the guy was born in Tottenham and is a Yid, might we finaly see a less biaest FA to the top 4?

Was always going to happen, let's be realistic. I agree it was a ridiculous sending off, he was nowhere near Elano, he won the ball – but his studs were up and it WAS two-footed. Them the facts. It wasn't whiter-than-white, so it won't be rescinded. Let's be realistic, if Keane's wasn't, there's no way Zokora's would be.

Benitez talked about the challenge that Crouch put over on Mikel last night and said it didn't deserve a red card and that they would appeal.

Now if the challenge from crouch was not a red then Zoko's was just a little talking too by the ref, the Arse should be without Fibreglass and Ebooooohey for this saturday but they arn't, strange that innit?!

Come back soon Zokopops!

I find it completely amazing that these days you can get send off for a tackle which makes absolutely no contact with an opposition player and which wins the ball.

The FA are a fucking joke for upholding this ruling! What do they want? A game with no tackling whatsoever?

Of course this was going to be upheld.

The FA wanted to make sure they get a Chelsea/Arsenal league cup final so they gave us Arsenal, and now to do more to make sure we lose they've cost us Zokora.

Spurs / Everton final - that's what I want now!

Didn't surprise me one bit.

I lost what little faith I had in the FA when they refused to overturn keane's red card.

Dein probably put in a call to his old buddies at the FA and sent a few pressies to them for Chrimbo

to be honest it was two footed and there was no way the fa were ever going to overturn it.

bit of a foolish challenge really after 20 mins and 1-0 up. zokora needs to learn that if he goes in with one foot then he's never giving the ref the option to send him off. two footed and it's a lottery at best.

What was two footed exactly?

His lunge for the ball which won the ball and didn't touch the City player (as evidenced by City themselves) and was never going to touch him either since Zokora was about 4 feet away from anyone else?

It also wasn't a tackle, because he wasn't trying to win the ball from an opposition player, he was just getting to it first in an ungainly fashion.

If this fucking decision can't get overturned what hope is there of ever getting one done, and therefore what the hell is the point of an appeals process in the first place?

This has to be one of the most ridiculous decisions in the history of the FA. Every single source in the media, in football (Sven himself included) and in the public domain has derided Bennett's decision as an absolute joke, seeing as you can't send a player off for not actually doing anything. And yet the FA uphold it and ergo completely support one of the worst refereeing decisions in recent seasons (only Clattenburg comes to mind which could be regarded as worse, funnily enough it was also against us...).

I'm absolutely fucking sickened by this, fucking disgusted.

****S!

I'll second that. Very poor decision on top of an even worse decision that could well have had us out of the competition.
