Spurs fans' favourite David Ginola has admitted he was disappointed not to be asked to join the club's coaching staff by Harry Redknapp.
Ginola had one eye on a job at White Hart Lane after Redknapp invited ex-players Tim Sherwood and Les Ferdinand to join his backroom staff.
The former Aston Villa and Newcastle winger has revealed he had been in talks with the club's former director of football Damien Comolli about a job at the club prior to his impromptu exit.
"I would have been the first person to accept an offer to go back," he told Zoo Magazine. "I would love to be back at Spurs.
"When Damien Comolli was in charge, we met and discussed me going back, but obviously Comolli has now left and it sees the club are not interested.
"To be honest, I'm a bit disappointed, because I would have loved to return."
