Right. We can deal with assnal and ride our luck at times against even the Spanish giants. Still not convinced the players have the minerals to go to the bridge or OT and get it done.

A back 5 of Gomes, Kaboul, Gallas, King, Ekotto is as good a defence as you can get. Just need that little bit more security in the middle, an option or two up front and a bit more pace on the flanks if god help us Bale/Lennon get injured; really not a lot.

You just can't under-estimate the confidence that can be drawn from superb performances at Werder Bremen and Inter, though only one point was drawn, plus an annihilation of the Champions League Champions at home, as well as a gutsy win at neigbours Arse23l.

This squad is capable.

They just need to believe.

The key is wrapping up the group on the last match day. That would hopefully let us avoid Madrid and Barca. If we can win the first knock out game then I guess anything is possible, with a little luck.

Very exciting times to be a Spurs fan.

Liam Brady on Irelands RTE said Spurs could go all the way in both champions league and premier league although he said it was killing him to say it he said he enjoys watching Spurs play still think my ears have deceived me!!!!

I'm hearing a lot about this Gareth Bale kid who apparently plays on the left. Maybe we should try and sign him?
