Good player, but not for that price.... and city wont sell him to us anyway
I think that price is good. For what you get.
I cant understand why they don't use him.

I've said it before, and i'll say it again - he's probably the best striker we could bring in, bar none.

If you can stomach 6 minutes for Arsenal goals, watch it. 3 years ago, he was unstoppable. His all round game lends itself SO WELL as what we're trying to do here at Spurs. He is essentially the best of Crouch, Pav & Defoe. He can hold the ball well, and use it intelligently. His coolness in front of goal and ability to peel off his marker and find space is so evident in that video. His ability to break the line, as well as his willingness to drive at defenders is exactly the way Defoe has made a name for himself.
If you watch the video, you'll notice a fair few goals away from home. You'll also notice some very important goals (Man Utd away, AC Milan away, Liverpool away [Champions League]). His character is everything Harry has made a name for himself channeling. His value has dropped greatly over the last year, and in a team where the manager has other favourites, he's clearly expendable in their eyes.
There are a lot of big names being banded about, but right now the only one who is affordable, able and with (proven) Premier League experience is Adebayor. If the price is right (around the £15m-£18m mark, or of course a loan with an option to buy) and his wages are either reduced or jointly paid by ourselves and City, there should only be one player in our sights this Winter.
I've said ti before, the opposition to him signing at the Lane is not in regard to his abiliy, and it is not in regard to his ArseScum connections (though they don't help). It is because of his attitude and behaviour.
I don't care how good he is as a footballer and I don't care what the price is, until someone can show me definitive, objective empirical proof that he has change his persona and won't totally destry the amazing team spirit we have, I just do not want him anywhere near WHL. Do you understand this objection?
Nope. It's the same one the magority used against the signing of Gallas in the summer. I myself wasn't sure it was a good idea. Literally, the exact reason.
I'd say that recent history has taught us that having the odd **** around hasn't had an adverse effect on the club, nor has it damaged team spirit.
Anyway, aside from his silly celebration against Arsenal, a tiff with Bendtner, and a few twatty goal-celebrating dances, what has he done to make him such a bad egg?

While he was at Arsenal his constant complaints about how he wasn't getting the respect and money he deserved and that if it wasn't rectified he'd have to leave, so he flirted with AC Milan and other clubs before Arsenal were happy to cash in on Man City's interest. That's why the fans and Wenger were generally happy to see him go.
Now he complains about not getting the respect/playing time he deserves at City when he just hasn't been very good (remember his performance against us at home last Dec? heehee!), but he can't leave because no one else will pay him what he's getting there.
Circumstances aside, he is the kind of striker who could do well for us and that we should be looking for, but personality and mentality-wise, and for the likely price, he's not someone I'd want at Spurs. I'm also not sure he would perform for us...when he wants to he can be an excellent player, but we've seen over the years he can also be sulky and poor just as often.
Drogba is an incredible player with a high work rate for the team. Him yes, although he is very iconic for Chelsea and seeing him with us would feel strange. And I dont think he is a primadona.
Ronaldo is selfish, overated, a diver and primadona. So a definite NO.
Ibrahimovich is a primadona, a bit selfish too and very arrogant, looking for cheap fig
hts. So he is a NO NO as well.
And, Christope, I will say it again: an offer was made for him which his club rejected (all clubs and managers have a right to sell on their own terms, particularly if the player in question is being a **** about the sitution). This meant that he had to stay with he Goons for a year. As a professional, he had an absolute obligation to perform to the best of his ability for that period - given the huge amount of FCUKing money he was getng for doing it, I would say he was doubly obligated. And yet I, personally, can verify that I watched a match where it was so blatant that he wasn't trying that not only were the Goons fas booing him, but I actually had sympathy for them (and that's a first). It was disgusting (and that made his twat celebration, like he had sokmehow been vindicated, even worse).
And in the 2006 ANC, he justified walking out on Nice by saying that he would lay down his life for Togo (or words to that effect)—and then proceeded to lead his Togo team-mates in a wages strike before having a punch-up with the coach.
As for his song Teddy had as bad and came back...went to Manu etc.
Woah there's some proper delusion on this thread.
Sorry, but to be up with the big boys we've got to put aside pettiness and sign, as 'Arry would say, "top, top" players when we can.
Ronaldo and Ibrahimovich aren't just top players they're two of the world's best. Any ANY team with either of them in would be improved.
And as for Adebayor, in my opinion, he's rather good and exactly the mould of striker we need. If you don't think he's as good as I do, then fine.
I've said it before, and i'll say it again - he's probably the best striker we could bring in, bar none.

Is he though? He can't get a sniff at Man City, and I don't think that Mancini is a complete mug. He's also on three times the wages of Bale, more than double Modric's, and in the light of financial fair play, a real liability to our closest on-pitch rival.
