The press have nothing to go on regarding our next manager. Not a sniff. So they have all had a good think about it and decided that AVB is our man.
They know we want a European style set up so they have decided that it must be AVB and it is logical to appoint him and everyone is coming out and agreeing.
However that isn't the case yet, as i said before , we will announce someone when we are ready which isn't now.
I'm not saying we will or we wont appoint him just that nothing has been finalised yet.

Cheers JJ, know you can't say anything more!!!

That actually speaks volumes and I'm convinced it's Blanc now - cant imagine it's someone from left field that we haven't already speculated about.

JJ, while the press may not have a clue what about all the other so-called ITKs that have come out with "it's 100% AVB " quotes?

POTL will be on holiday at the moment but he will be back.

A self imposed holiday while those at the club work at investigating 'leaks'.

JJ, help us out, and save some of us money, which in turn could be donated to SC rather than PaddyPower, Coral, WilliamHill, SportingBet etc.....
Who's it gonna be? Are we looking or have we got?

Have any other ITK's said it's 100% done? Some have said there's definite interest, but that doesn't mean it's our only option

edit- Just re-read Brownheads post, IF we don't end up with AVB, it won't be the first time an ITK has got something wrong.

Like I said, as long as the bookies have markets, nothing is final.

Still, my interpretation of this is that we're negotiating with AVB now.

And the next poster will interpret it differently!

If it does turn out to be AVB, it could be useful to have to have AVB be the expected choice for awhile to prepare reaction to the appointment as well.

Cheers JJ

I do hope we are considering Blanc. I could imagine if France have a good Euros, he could be the perfect option with his increased reputation, not mentioning his already excellent credentials as a manager.

Maybe this is the reason we are biding our time in regards to appointing someone? I hope so anyway

Personally, I think the comments smack of there being a first choice that we are trying for, with AVB as a rock solid number 2 choice incase the first goes tits up. I've been known to be completely and farcically wrong on the very odd occasion though

I'm guessing it means that Levy is doing his due diligence on whoever the choice is. We don't have a real rush at the moment, the Euro's buy us some time to make a smart choice. Maybe AVB is the choice, but if so, Levy will take the time to see what he's been up to, see if he's learned from the Chelsea experience, all that sort of stuff.
