Just to clarify the bit of info I just posted (couldn't edit it, I guess because it's awaiting confirmation) - my mate spoke to the kid himself after the game the other night, trying to find out if he was signing for them or not.

Hmm yeah didn't really think all this through did I.

Here's the post

Just happened on a bit of info from my mate at Brighton - they have a young kid on trial at the moment called Jeremy Balmy, a 17 year old centre back who scored on his debut in a friendly the other day after coming on as sub. Anyway apparently they are on the verge of losing him before they even had him, as we are in for him, along with Arsenal and Milan. Sorry I can't offer any more at the mo, will try to find out...seems odd that we are are in for ANOTHER young CB though considered we've signed Fryers, we're looking to get Lascelles (not ITK on my part btw, just what I've read on here) and we still have Caulker coming through.

To clarify, he's not a CB he's a CM. I asked my pal a bit more about him - left-footed attack-minded midfielder (though Brighton were far superior so this could just have been a result of the difference in quality that he was attacking more), supposedly looked good in a 45 minute cameo but against non-league opposition. Wary that he might be lightweight for Championship level. He last played for Le Havre but my mate doesn't know if he has been released, he's out of contract or he's just been allowed to trial at bigger clubs.

This is him:

Let's call a spade a spade. Akquayid's not itk. Not having a go, to me it's all a bit of fun anyway and I don't take any of the itk too seriously.

Well I guess we will see if you are right or not based on the Pienaar situation. Personally I'd take an SC ITK over SSN (adiepf excepted as someone who was never ITK).

Pienaar was done to Everton yesterday but today he's training at Spurs Lodge, go figure

He's waiting on top of the Empire State Building. He and Lloris met there six months ago and promised to meet back up in the exact same spot on their anniversary. Will Lloris make it back from Montreal in time? Will Levy be heart-broken? Will Meg Ryan remake this timeless story before her face turns into a baboon's ass? Stay tuned.

I'm banking on a final showdown on Mount Rushmore.

It could be that Pienaar deal is agreed but not done until Everton fronts the money, which they apparently can't do until they get the money from the Yobo sale. That one is supposed to be finalized in the next couple days.

In the meantime, QPR and Sunderland are sniffing around. Wonder if he won't be going to Everton after all.

Yer but it would be on everton website that they had agreed a fee with us for pienaar but they still have to agree personal terms and medical and then pienaar would travel up there and he wouldnt of been at training! They could stretch that out for a few days to let the yobo fee go through!
I not saying that he wont go to everton all i am saying is as of tonite we are yet to agree a fee and a deal with everton but that could be done in the next few days! Or could drag out till the last day of the window!
Or he could go to another club! But IMO he will end up back at everton!

Ouch. We must be in sad shape if we are waiting from money from an American soccer team to filter through the poorest club in England so that we can afford more purchases.

I think the money problem is with Everton having to cough up the money to pay for Pienaar.

We're gonna be down to selling blood plasma soon. :D

It could be worse.........

Mate, you clearly have a exclamation mark addiction. You should go and see someone about it.

JJ rubbished the Benzema stuff today btw:

Not telling you to do that but it's total bollocks that we are going for him or Higuain that is all ;0)

Here's some new on Boriello from JJ:

I strongly doubt that any of our strikers will be him!!

On the other hand, do we know they've received all of the £3m we 'paid' for him?

It's entirely possble that we've agreed a deal in principle, and that it could still happen. However, it could as easily not happen. 'Done deal' means that it should appear on the OS within hours, and Akqa really ought to know that by now. For his sake, he needs to exercise a degree of caution in his wording.
