Hey all. Just a few bits of info I've heard today from a couple of sources I know personally - have verified both with A&C.
Nothing too ground breaking but it's a slow news week so hoping some bits might be of interest!
As I said nothing too earth-shattering there but hope some is of interest )
- Zeki Fryers to Spurs has been completed for a while, not sure why it isn't on OS but in my source's words "Sir Alex was taking the piss" offering him £1900 per week. Daniel offered £10k so it was a no brainer. 18 months ago he thought the guy was gonna get released but came in to his own last season and reckons he's gonna be big news.
- He also said similar to others about Adebayor - fee agreed, terms agreed with Spurs, sticking point is negotiating a leaving package with City. As far as Ade's concerned, if City want rid that badly they should honour what's left of his contract in the form of a donation to his charity.
- (non-THFC) Edin Dzeko back in training with MCFC and doesn't look like he's off anywhere which would suggest Ade is definitely going. He doesn't think SAF is interested in Van Persie, more trying to make a tit out of City. Doesn't think SAF would pay upwards of £220k for a 29-yr-old.
- (different source) Berbatov's attitude is getting United squad down, definitely off but doesn't know where to but said Spurs definitely not looking to take him back. He reluctantly went on tour with them but didn't want to be there. Doesn't seem to be too popular among the squad or staff (surprise surprise).
Good stuff freeeki! As others have said, the Fryers deal will probably be announced when the tribunal sets the development fee. Interesting about Fergie only offering £1900 a week for him, I think with Morrison playing up as well he might have decided to be harsh with the youngsters - remains to be seen if it'll work or backfire horribly & end up with his most promising young talents playing against them. Either way, its potentially good competition for Benny but perhaps not such good news for Danny Rose.
From what my guy was saying (and he is in a position to have a good idea what's going on) the deal is all done and dusted, and if I'm not mistaken Zeki has already made an appearance in our colours during close season.

Official site down for maintenance or could it be a MASSIVE announcement?
It takes a lot of time and effort to maintain that sense of false hope in all Spurs fans.Maintenance.
