Since i want this particular deal to be true, i choose to believe he was reminded to say nothing hence the turn of phrase tweet.
Now, chances are it simply is a pub convo, but thats the beauty of ITK; The ones i like i find ways to be true, the ones i dont i call rubbish.

No idea. For me personally I just can't envision a world where Spurs land Hulk. Might actually be in the top 3 of winger tandems in the world.

I can just about conceive of the possibility of us signing Hulk. The transfer fee would be hefty but we might be able to afford his wages.

Hulk is never gonna happen.
If we buy from Porto it will Moutinho but their chairman would never sell Hulk to us as well. It's like Levy selling both Bale and Modric to Inter Milan in the same window. Never gonna happen.

I remember him saying Ashley Young was at Holly House a fee years ago having a medical for us... I don't think his info is that ground breaking either just a rehash of what we already know.

Daily Mail claiming that, as POTL posted this morning, AVB told the players today who didn't feature in his plans. Bentley, Jenas, Bassong, Gallas, and Naughton reportedly free to go. Also reporting we are interested in Dembele. It is the Mail though, and no quotes, so salt required...

Due to work, I haven't been able to check out this thread in recent days...and when you revisit it, after over a week...you truly realise... through all the ITK...nothing actually ever happens!!! lol

Hmmm strange. We'll never know a players attitude in the changing rooms, or if AVB prefers potential targets in their positions but Bentley and Gallas (especially) I thought looked good in pre-season.

I'm guessing that neither was used in a 'turn of phrase' context but he has realised he's potentially dropped himself in it with his source(s) and is trying to backtrack. ('Lockdown' and all that.)

I know it's the fail but I'm surprised Naughton is in that bunch.... I'd have thought he's a definate to be held on to. So versatile and still young enough to improve. Shame for Bassong, I rate him but totally understand it being the best move for all concerned. Can we presume GDS gets one more chance? Surely we need to clear more than that to allow room for incoming players??
If the article is correct then (I'm reading between the lines here) including Ledley & Alnwick, that's 5 'home-growns' off the list? Must mean Carroll is in the 1st team squad?? Maybe Townsend?
