Said repeatedly that we would have a striker by newcastle and then today said we wouldnt. Said we had talks about Lloris and then when asked 2 weeks later about the link with Lloris he said "what link?", also said no to a number of players but then last week said one of the players he said no to could be an option but again wouldnt commit to a name. IMO he changes his mind too often and often posts quite vague ITK. Not bashing at all as I enjoy reading what he and others say but like everyone says - pinch of salt required.

Read somewhere that although Niang was on trial, we thought he was too expensive to follow up with an offer.
But isn't a double signing two players from one club? If it's just two players from different clubs it's just two signings in my book.

Reading between the lines, it looked like we DID have the kid from Forest, and then Forest got taken over and paid him what we were going to. I think it was about as far along as it could get but with the takeover Lascelles decided to wait and then got the money he wanted without the move.
Just reading between the lines, no inside info.

At work which only means one thing - overthinking and subsequent panic over current situation due to lack of work to be done.
People seem to be missing another scary prospect of our lack of movement in the market (aside from un-doing years of progression) given the scum a gloating point.
Last year I would unequivocally said we had a better squad than them. For arguments sake say Modric has 100% gone; can we really claim we still do? They will have Wilshere back end of the year - for all the little gobshite he is, he does have an abundance of potential. Although I think giroud will be chamakh version 2; make no mistake in thinking that Poldokski won't be a good signing. It's also looking more likely RVP will be chained to them for another season.
This is me being a pragmatic Spurs fan; I can't stand 'football' fans who dismiss these sorts of views because they aren't spouting how shite Arsenal are etc etc.
but the grey fox's news sounded promising and with a replacement for rat face and a decent striker we will have the beating of them again this season

Yet amazingly you 'disagreed' when I pointed out this out the other day, and went so far as to say he was one of the few ITKs you really trusted. In fact, unless I've missed something the last big piece of ITK we had from him was when he and Noodles revealed that Keane had been tapped up and was probably off to Liverpool; unfortunately they followed that by declaring that the total bullshit story that we were signing Garcia from Espanyol was fact.

RVP to Man Ure will happen so can rule that out. Giroud seems like a big gamble and cant see that working. Podolski I have always rated and think he will score goals but they still have that dodgy back four!
Id prefer our squad, although with some of our defending pre-season I hope the words "dodgy back four" dont come back to haunt me.
Team I fear more is Chelski. Think Hazzard will do the biz, Torres will come into his own now no pressure from any back ups and expect big things from that German chappy whose named escapes me as he really impressed when we played them in the Champs in both games. Expect Chelski to challenge tbh and it be beteen us and A*****l for 4th. Newcastle wont have another top 6 IMO and Liverpool and Everton to scrap for 5th.
