What is it with Spurs and signing strikers...? You would have thought we would have learnt our lesson by now. Failure to sign a top striker in 3 Jan transfer windows cost us 3 CL spots (06, 11 & 12). Fast forward to this summer under a new manager and we screw him over again by not giving him a shiny new striker from day 1 of the PL season. Only Spurs eh....

Makes no sense for Real to include such a low future fee. If he does great his price will be much higher and if he doesn't they would still be able to sell him for 6M without problem.

I don't think JJ means that we are going for Llorente, despite having bagged Ade. Otherwise, he wouldn't have prefixed his tweet with 'ask yourselves this....'.

Wrongly or rightly, that tells me that JJ or the club considers them too similar and he is asking us to consider whether we would really go for both. Ryan told us Llorente wasn't happening a couple of days ago. This was presumably info that came from JJ. What makes complete sense is us trying for Llorente and it went cold a couple of days ago, so we went back and sealed the Ade transfer. Timeline of ITK makes sense with this.

The one more up top is the interesting part. Leandro ? Could be, but again, Ryan told us we are after a striker that we haven't really been linked with this window. Wishful thinking on my part, but 1-2 months ago, JJ mentioned that Jovetic was on the clubs list of targets but wasn't our first choice. Since then, I haven't really seen us linked to him at all, or mentioned by any other ITK. Jovetic would be perfect for playing upfront on his own, or on the right or left of a 4-3-3. Seems like a perfect fit to me and he's young, at a club that isn't in the CL etc etc.

Thats my optimistic suggestion anyway, backed up by a tiny snipped of JJ ITK from a good while back.

Great, I get dragged off to a fecking bird fair and in that time Ade gets "done". Fantastic news though!

Bit disappointed with JJ's last tweet and will be mightily pissed off if we don't get Damiao after all the pissing about that's gone on (for whatever reason). Not criticising anyone in particular over it, but it's been such a long drawn out affair that Leandro is now a Spurs legend, for all the wrong reasons, before he's even kicked a ball for us!

I agree, but then this RM a team who sold us VDV for probably a third of what he was worth, Same with Sneijder bought him for 27M sold him for 15M a year later, they just operate different to most other clubs. They need to move Sahin on to get Modric in and they are running out of time to do that so are willing to compromise to Arsenals demands, shame really, I just thought that we could've somehow worked Sahin into the Modric deal.

Swedish press (Aftonbladet) states that City might sell Guidetti to Sunderland for £7M, surely he would be worth a punt? 20 years and scored 20 goal in Feyenoord last season.

aguero stretchered off for city with a knee injury - if this is long term - would they want to keep ade, or look at llorente (if we are still in for him)?

Considering they've got Balotelli and Dzeko on the bench I would think not.

You will hardly ever see Llorente drifting out wide when we have players in the box, something Adebayor does a fair amount of.

Could they play together in a front 3 system? Probably not but that's why AVB gets paid the big bucks. Ade and Bale switching positions in support of the big man through the middle?

I would love Llorente, absolutely love it if he joined us but I honestly think we have no chance. I just pray he doesn't end up at the scum. Sahin, Cazorla and Llorente in one window? Depressing for us.

Yes, real crisis for Mansour City. Just left wth Dzeko, Tevez and Balotelli up front. No wonder Mancini has been moaning and saying he needs to strengthen his squad. FFS!

I think from what I have read from ITK's recently that Ade should be announced very soon, Leandro we simply arent getting and we tried hard to Llorente but either couldnt afford him or decided against him once we got Ade finalised. What we will probably see is Ade coming in plus a midfielder to replace Modric - or Ade coming in and Modric staying... Other than that I just cant see much happening.
