Given that JJ got bitten in the whole Sahin ordeal a couple of weeks back, I'd be very surprised if he would be saying '1 more to come up top too' very lightly. To me anyway, thats an almost confirmation that we have Adebayor plus another one the way..

Disagree he has always said we are trying for 2 strikers that can play the lone man, that could mean Leandro or if everything goes wrong, Doyle

In fairness he said the same about Tevez.

But I don't think he would stop Adebayor leaving unless his entire strike force was injured.

Strange stance to take as he is better than Dzeko and Balotelli and he surely cant be as much of a hassle as some of the pricks at City.

hmm... wasn't JJ very confident we'll get 4 - 6 players not too long back?

so it's 1 + 1 soon? or is this new plus one someone.... "from left field".

I thought we decided 4-6 was the formation because we wouldn't be signing any strikers!

Word from COYS is that Adebayor is currently at the Plough in cuffley, says he's renting a place there and will be playing against WBA. Anyone local who can get us pictures and further details?

Even if he's announced tomorrow I can't see him going straight into the starting line-up. Bench at best.

Agreed. People seem to forget that Gomes is an amazing shot-stopper, it's everything else that gives cause for concern.

And you seem to be forgetting how bad Gomes has been for us at times...don't get me wrong,he's a great shot stopper,but there are many more aspects to goalkeeping.
