If the Moutinho thing is true (and I'm praying it is), in an ideal world I would also like to see VDV to stay and this be the 1st eleven..

-------------Lloris
Walker Kaboom Verts Benni
-------------Sandro
-----Moutinho Dembele
---VDV----- Ade---- Bale

Also this depends on the Lloris deal, of which I am hopeful. The only thing on top of that I would want is Leandro Damio, who I think will come in January. Beyond this, wing cover such as Willian and that would make me a happy spurs fan.

Thats what I would like to see. Just my opinion.

VDV is no right forward/right winger though.

In that formation he'd be obliged to track the left back when the oppo attack. Unfortunately, that's a task that is beyond him.

In a 442 I would agree, however the structure of. 433 means that it pins back the opposing full back as the central striker occupies the 2 CB'S and each wide forward plays the space between the full back and CB, dictating the position, with 3 midfielders covering (2 when attacking) 433 is probably the most efficient system, no wonder all the top sides play this way, it's not always about formation and structure it's about who occupies and nullifies who. Think VDV would work well in this system, however I feel that he's outta here....

You must be smoking something if you think we'll sign Moutinho and keep VDV.

Remember the Chelsea game at Stamford Bridge. It worked very well there and all 3 of those midfielders can tackle and put in a shift aswell (as does rafa) whereas Modric often didn't for us.

Not that post, just the momentum that's rolling on...lots of thick black smoke!

yup, me to....its gathering. I know JJ poured a little cold water on it tonight, but lets remember JJ was saying Dembele wasn't a target for us for weeks...things can change quickly.
