He's had a start stop sort of season given his injuries and suspension....of course his form wont exactly put a smile on his face as of yet but he needs a run of games in a formation that he was playing in last season to get the best out of him imo, and that is not 4 4 2 alongside Defoe.

I dont see him leaving as City as subsidizing his wages and I cant see a team being able to afford him or his wages at the moment.

A guy like Willian/Isco makes the most sense to me. That would give us the best flexibility looking long-term. We need creativity, flair, goal-scoring ability.

In home matches or lesser squads we could play a form of a 4-3-3 with Sandro sitting in front of the defense and Dembele and Willian/Isco in front with our normal group playing in the front 3.

Then, in tougher matches we can elect for the 4-2-3-1 with Willian/Isco sitting in the hole and simply making magic happen.

We're looking great now anyway imo. I'd like to see Sigurdsson starting more often in place of Defoe/Ade and I think that'd help with creativity whilst he still provides a goal threat. We've been creating chances despite what we lost in the summer and the effects of AVB's coaching are visible now. We have Parker and BAE back, Kaboul to follow, and players like Lennon, Bale and Sandro are playing as well as they ever have.

We could. He didn't play for utd so he can play for us. I bought him up to highlight why we could sell ade( not that we should)

Yeah agreed. I'd personally like him in the middle of a 433 but we haven't really seen that yet. I hope he stays and finds form. But if he goes to ACN this is going to have been a very weird season for him.

Erm, just a thought on what's been said as regards what DL would or would not pay out on signings. I think it's fair to say that what any club will pay out reflects not only on their finances, but also on the confidence they have in their manager. Now Harry had a reputation as a wheeler dealer (translated to: had a good eye for a bargain). Before him we had Ramos and then big Martin. MJ was the one who brought us within reach of the top but it may be that is only now that DL has the confidence in the manager to the point that he is prepared to splash out if necessary. Bearing in mind that we caught a cold in February & March last year. Maybe Danny Boy could have learnt from that and does not want to make the same mistake. We could just be seeing the dawning of a new era in the activities within Danny's wallet!

Just to check: you know that BRL clubs like USD.
Is this obvious because the Brazilian currency is shite or obvious (to you) because you spent a large amount of time working through a deal in January which was in USD and destined for Brazil???

Perhaps in the summer, but the only way he would go in this window is if we had the replacement sitting in a small rom ready to sign the contract right there and then. Which we wouldn't have because Damiao just isn't that easy a deal as we've seen. Nah, I don't see any big money signings this window unless we are selling JJ for million, Bentley for millions, etc, etc... I think people have to remember, we are a club who has been in the CL once and has a 36,000 seat stadium.
