We should be making a move for Benat. Creative mid in his prime with just a year left on his deal, would prob be a bit cheaper than hernanes and cabaye to. And if its one thing our daniel like its a good deal!

Something like:
"I'm here with Daniel Levy, Leandro Damiao, David Villa, Isco, Cointraou, Muller, Atsu, Messi and the reanimated body of John White and they are all signing long term contracts as we speak. Here is the photo."
That would do.
Pffffffft. Photoshop.

I didn't say anything about your comments about Ossie and Villa. Read my comment again.
Think you need to go back and read mine then. I didn't say he would be a bad signing I just suggested it wouldn't be on the same level as Ossie and Villa both signed having just won the World Cup. Not sure how that's negative?

Does anyone think Emre Can has the potential to be a creative mid? Here's an interesting quote:

"Can is also comfortable with the ball at his feet despite his tall and powerful physique. In fact he is also able to play in the hole behind the striker, providing strength, vision and creativity."

My friend Mehmet Ali who's Tottenham's Youth Development Phase Coach took our under 16s to play in a tournament about 3 years ago. Tottenham, Sporting Lisbon, Barca, Bayern and few other big teams were all invited to play. Believe it or not Barca finished bottom! Bayern Munich destroyed everyone at the tournament. When he come back to London he was telling me how Bayern have some amazing Turkish players and Emre Can ran the show.
I have no idea how he has developed since then but if he's in the Bayern squad then he must be doing ok!

I'm really intrigued by this guy. Sounds really promising and very versatile, especially after reading Freund's comments. Fingers crossed, we'll get him on a "try before we buy".

I agree with us needing an outstanding creative midfielder. A lot of people were asking for a striker in January but IMO I felt we really needed someone like moutinho to unlock those defenses of weaker teams. Let's face it, the majority of weaker teams defend deep against us. Bale came to the rescue with his sheer, utter brilliant individual goals.

Although Adebayor can be a lazy pile of crap, his movement can be second to none at times. So is defoe's!! But we couldn't take advantage of this because we had nobody to play those intelligent balls to them to create clear goal scoring opportunities.

Just my opinion anyway.

Wow, so many updates and it's not even June yet. Looks like we might get our wish for early business this summer.

In terms of maintaining the status quo the Bale, AVB, Lloris and Townsend ITK sounds promising.

In terms of new signings Damiao and Villa would be brilliant news if we can get both.

If the above business is done I think we need very little else. Maybe a young understudy to Sandro, additional cover for the wings (assuming we have Townsend) and perhaps a young creative AM?

re the bold part, Luongo?

What exactly would some of you like JJ to say? How exactly should he put it? The bloke doesn't have to pass on anything at all and i'm bloody sure that covering his arse is very very low on his list of priorities, as is carefully wording every little utterance to suit the cravings and over analysis of every word by the seasoned ITK watchers in here.

I thought common sense/sensible posts weren't welcome in here, A&C

That would nice, eh! I love Yaya Toure. Can sounds like he's got the potential to be very versatile. Fingers crossed that's the case and that we're in with a chance to get him. ;)

Only found 1 clip on YouTube where he runs from halfway to score in a match for a Germany side against Mexico. Only 1 clip but there were similarities with the strong running style and a decent finish.

Cabaye would be an astute purchase in the middle and would be a great addition in a three man midfield making up of him, Sandro and Dembele but assuming Leandro is coming, the remaining space out wide is the final piece of the jigsaw and we need someone technically strong coupled with ingenuity.

Ryantegan did say that his source said that there was going to be a "clear spend" this TW. Whilst I am taking all ITK with the required lorry load of salt, IF it is right then we could really challenge next season.

*where's the praying smilie when you need it*

Clear spend is a nice elusive term.
I'm about to have a clear spend in a minute when I go down the shops for a packet of crisps.
Committed? Yeah.
Impressive? Nah.
