It depends what he's been told by Villa. If they've gone back on telling him a deal would be done at a certain price, for example, then he's a bit more justified.

But yeah if he's being a dick it isn't a good sign.

Kinsmann was a great signing but that was 1994 and as we've seen today with Villa, those romantic signings rarely occur any more.
Bale was a child when he signed. Do you believe for one moment that we'd sign today's Gareth Bale with our current stadium and our old training facilities? He'd laugh at us before going to United.
When we signed Ginola he was excluded from the France team that went on to win the world cup and euros. He was great for us and a joy to watch but in the grand scheme of things, at the time, he wasn't exactly a world beater. Just a very good player.

Do i think we'd sign the Bale of today you ask? Well fuck me no....but why not ask the same about Messi?

ok chaps... i know this isn't the right place, and it isn't likely to be popular question... but has Wayne Rooney been discussed as an option? Is there a thrread on this somewhere?
Again, i know this isn't the right place, but i'm not sure what is... cheers guys, i just can't see why we're not thinking of at least making an effort on this!

Gards is actually a reasonably well known person that many will recognise (he uses his real photo on his twitter page). His info is definitely good, although also to some extent limited.

There's already been ITK that he's interested in coming to us, check the RO, the 250k he's on a week shouldn't be a problem.

The journo said that there was no permission given for him to be at the Club by Villa...but that's football.

I think it's guesstimated that Benteke will probably cost about fifteen million in wages on a five year deal where as Rooney would be about fifty million over the same time period.

Anyway I am now taking them out Sunday (better tides) and will milk him all day for anything I can get. I am not ITK, never have been, and never likely to be where Spurs are concerned (sadly). I'm purely making the most of a situation where a guy with high up Villa connections has asked me for a favour, and I have passed it on.

Maybe nothing new for most, but I happened to briefly speak to a client who is a close friend of a close friend of Levys - sounds made up, but it ain't. He knows 'Daniels' business stance, and said that regardless of Dof, committees etc, when it comes to getting players the buck stops at 'Daniel'. If 'Daniel' wants a player he'll get the player: regardless of anyone's input. In saying that it was Sven Goren Erikksons word in the ear that meant Levy bought Jenas! Thanks Sven!!
So, if Levy decides Benteke is goer, then we'll have him. Appreciate this may be nothing new or exciting for those in the know, but felt it may be worth passing on as (genuine) insight into getting players - no shooting please
