If Falque is not going to be part of the squad we must sell him this window, he's going to be the next Simon Dawkins otherwise.

It's unlikely he will go as nobody will offer the money Levy wants

Weirdly happy about this, as I think he will provide good wing backup.

I do question his level of composure & creativity, but there's no doubting that he can cause problems with his pace, directness, skill & shooting ability. He can also operate comfortably on either wing.

I also find it a little surprising that we are willing to sell him, considering his age & 'home-grown' status.

:) It's likely that it'll be cryptic, but not an easy one to solve (y)

Could you try not to make it too easy, but also don't make it too difficult. In fact could just post the clues along with the cryptic. But don't make the clues too simple. Or too complicated. Or too clue-ish.

Basically I want to know, but I don't want to know that I know, y'know?

Is the answer Bale?

If we continue to build a system around Bale then at least Townsend can slot in and still function albeit to a lesser extent as he's very much in the direct mould of Bale who also is not adverse to scoring a a few cracking long range efforts.

Agreeng personal terms for Chadli won't be a problem - despite higher offers of shakhtar, Swansea and Torpedo Moscow, he made it very clear he wanted to join us. Well done to Levy as well he got him cheaper than those mentioned clubs.
I actually had to check on google to confirm if Torpedo Moscow was a real club. I usually track the Russian league loosely so surprised I wasn't familiar.

We wouldn't put it on the OS if we didn't have the personal terms agreed. Probably needs to show up and sign on the dotted line without getting a serious injury in the process.

Hence why I gave him both options: household name or "any other signing"

Transfer Pledge update:

We have the following lucky winners:

Parkie: Chadli £10 (unless confirmed that he is in place of Bernard in which case he can pay me!)
Ravo: Other first team players £5 each
Lillywhites61: Any attacking midfielder £10
Syn_13: Creative attacking mid/wide forward/winger - £5
MonkeyBastardHands: Each other "household name" signing - £10
Every other player we sign - £1 each - not sure where you rank him!
GBSpurs: £5m -£10m = £5
Davids_5: £10 for a creative midfield player
Ian Kane: Sign anyone - £5 (per signing)
Reece: I'll give a tenner for each player we sign who has Villa somewhere in their name in addition to a tenner per player who is signed from a club that has likewise - until Feb 1st. (Little known fact: Nacer Chadli is Bulgarian for holiday home/villa). ;)

??

Where? What? What do you mean?

Each other Household name signing.....

Torpedo Moscow? I bet they rely on their subs a lot :woot:

Yeah, he should be sold. I would have thought Almeria would do everything in their power to get him back but they did land Suso on loan. Maybe they just want to keep loaning players in, however.

I'll be livid if we sell Townsend.

Academy graduate who's a Spurs fan, has an outstanding 6 months out on loan in the premier league and it's a position where we're not exactly stacked in. Anything under £10m and we've had our pants pulled down.
