So, next week then. Or now as Ajax's season is over.

Very astute, Easley. Sometimes your powers of deduction astound me. Keep this up and you'll be lieutenant in no time.

I wonder if there will be anything in the Sunday papers.

Talking about Tottenham and de Boer on Sunday Supplement

They all agree it would be a good job for de Boer, but that Sherwood hasn't done much wrong - they like Sherwood's honesty and question if any manager can succeed at the most political club in the league

'I expect to lead training on June 23rd'

Is very, very different to:

"I am very happy here. On June 23 we start again our preparation. That is what I am thinking about, first I have to get a signal from other clubs and then I will see."

Puts it into a completely different context. To quote Sherwood: somebody is telling porkies here.

Not to cast aspersions on the doyens of Football Journalism but they only like Sherwood's honesty because he makes their lives so incredibly easy with the acres upon acres of copy he wilfully gives every week.

Benitez PLS

it really will be typical spurs to take a punt on the more glamorous unknown quantity rather than the proven high calibre obvious but somehow boring option. come on levy, how many more times do you have to go for the exciting boom or bust project guy? for once, just go with the one with the highest credentials. experience > experiment.

A few days ago to NOS, we have spoken to Ajax about de Boer
That is different to what you said earlier! When you said we had spoken to him.

What is clear is we have spoken to ajax about his availability, we haven't approached the club with an official request to speak to him. That is why the club made the statement it did.

More likely we have an unofficial agent sounding out things? If it goes tits up we will say there has been no OFFICIAL approach from the club.

Why would you think that? Where is any report to suggest that is happening? Ajax have admitted Tottenham approached them, spurs have not denied asking about his availability.

I am going to cast aspersions.. the jokers on that show write for papers such as the mail, the mirror and the express (ok also sometimes they have henry winter and paddy barclay who are not as bad as the others)… therefore I would not personally pay much attention to the shit that they spout. They like sherwood for the reasons explained above…. they are paid to sell papers and he gives them easy pickings...

Ugh, Henry Winter - the Clare Raynor of football. He uses the term 'respected' so much I want to fucking strangle him with it.

It's going to be Pochettino, isn't it?

Pochettino plays literally the perfect set-up for the spurs squad, we have smashed the league this year playing that style. I just don't know if he's a good manager or not lol
