I still don't see the point in why we publicly denied we had spoken to him when it is obvious we had.

We need to find this Sherwood and give him his Luckiest Boy In Professional Football medal at once!Very astute, Easley. Sometimes your powers of deduction astound me. Keep this up and you'll be lieutenant in no time.

When did de boer say we have spoken to him?
I wonder if there will be anything in the Sunday papers.
Talking about Tottenham and de Boer on Sunday Supplement
They all agree it would be a good job for de Boer, but that Sherwood hasn't done much wrong - they like Sherwood's honesty and question if any manager can succeed at the most political club in the league
Benitez PLS
That is different to what you said earlier! When you said we had spoken to him.A few days ago to NOS, we have spoken to Ajax about de Boer

What is clear is we have spoken to ajax about his availability, we haven't approached the club with an official request to speak to him. That is why the club made the statement it did.
Why would you think that? Where is any report to suggest that is happening? Ajax have admitted Tottenham approached them, spurs have not denied asking about his availability.More likely we have an unofficial agent sounding out things? If it goes tits up we will say there has been no OFFICIAL approach from the club.

Not to cast aspersions on the doyens of Football Journalism but they only like Sherwood's honesty because he makes their lives so incredibly easy with the acres upon acres of copy he wilfully gives every week.
It's going to be Pochettino, isn't it?
Nope, new quotes (from yesterday)Isn't this one of his older quotes?
