Can Fifa add additional punishment for a 'frivolous' appeal, as our FA have done in the past? Maybe they set this ban as one that looks tough enough and cant really be appealed... And when they do, boom, add a couple of months on! :sneaky:

Re: Suarez banned for 4 months

I don't get how it's only 9 matches yet it's 4 months?

And can LFC appeal?

To be fair, the official statement does have more than 5 multiple syllable words in it.... Hard for them to understand that!

This pretty much sums up why I hate Liverpool fans
FIFA won't reduce it. They are trying to prove they have some guts and reducing the ban will make people think they are weak again.

Also, if it's all football activity, I doubt he will be able to move to a new club.

"Always the victim" mentality kicking in on Merseyside over on RAWK. Apparently FIFA have it in for Liverpool! There needs to be a breeding ban in that city! Bindipping morons....

It is a very odd ban when you look at it.

Why not just ban him from a certain number of club games rather than putting a time limit on it?

9 International Games and 4 months = 9 PL games, 3 CL games and one Capital One Cup game, seems fair.

I think it is because they can only ban players for X number of months or years from all football activities and do not posses the direct power to ban him for X amount of games in the PL and UCL
