Interesting if one sided debate on whether Vorm is worth £5m? I always like to see it as is Saurez worth £75m or Torres £50. I guess the price depends on the need and wish of the manager/board.
If Lloris is injured and misses half a season then yes a good quality international keeper is good business. If on the other hand Vorm plays a handful of EL and Carling cups over the next 3 years but sits on his hands for the rest of the season then no, it probably is a waste.
I guess the point I'm trying to make is it's all onions and noone has the magical crystal ball, so we plow our money into the club and hope the men who are paid fairly sizeable salaries make the right decisions.
I'm a bit meh about JJ'S Schneiderlin news as I do believe Sandro (sorry A&C) would then be off.
I'm also hoping that Danny Rose hasn't thrown his toys out of his pram as it means we'll still need a bloody LB.
Anyway that's my onion. Until Spurs hire me that is and then I'll have all the power mwahahahaha.

F*** Danny Rose! He should be grateful he's playing Prem football. Even more grateful he's with Spurs. I would have shown him the door a long time ago. Not good enough for any club with ambitions of top 4. The same goes for Naughton and Dawson. I also hate to say it... But Kaboul is not the same player
. He's looking more a liability each game. Let's get Ben Davies signed on the dotted line asap. I'm being optimistic but i also hope we sign another 2 Centre Backs.

Love it how we show loyalty to our players yet when one wants to leave for Utd/Madrid etc... we think they're wankers.

If a player wants to leave for a bigger club then good luck to him. As long as we get good money for him it's no problem. However if you screw over the club like Scumbal then he deserves the stick.

Christ. It's the first game of pre-season. His first pre-season for 2 years I think. Ridiculous to write him off at this point.

I was also talking about last season performances. I'm also going by what people who watch him in training tell me.

Get Davies, Vorm (Sig out) and Schneiderin wrapped up - outgoings of around 15 - 20m
Take the Livermore money and then that for Dawson and we'll still be slightly in a net spend.
Then go out and buy the best centre half left on the market. I wonder if we're waiting to see how the first month or so of Moreno's recovery goes to see if we might want to bring him in injured and wait for his recovery.
Then, in order to break even - ditch one of our other midfielders. I'm slightly leaning towards someone actually wanting to take Paulinho. In an ideal world Lennon could go too.

Harsh to judge him on last season. He came into a shambles of a team with no system after not having played in over a year. Bound to be rusty. A full pre-season under a competent manager and i've got faith that he'll get back to at least near what he was.

Fingers crossed he does mate... IMO he doesn't look comfortable running and pre-season wont make any difference with that problem.

Bet you love Modric and Berbatov though? Players who refused to train or play for us.
Rose may not be the greatest player in the world but he wears the lillywhite and as long as he does he deserves our support.

In the summer of 2012, I had ITK directly from Rose that if he wasn't first choice ahead of BAE that he would force a move out of the club. He wasn't prepared to sit on any bench regardless of the team.
That was after his Sunderland season. I would suspect that his opinion hasn't changed and if that is the case he can go.

I don't care about Mod or Berba. They both moved to the biggest clubs in the world and we got decent money.

Did Dawson do the same or Naughton? Do they deserve to be slagged off every week by their own supporters just because they're not the best players on the planet?
If Rose wants to go sell him. But don't make him a scapegoat for all our ills as we do every season with different players.

Breezer it's not aimed just at you. I just hate that our supporters slag off our own players. Have we any evidence that Rose has thrown his toys out of the pram though? Or just thinking he might? If he does, get rid simples.

But if he wants to leave like is being suggested because he wants to be the #1 LB without even having to fight for it, then why should we support him?
@Breezer doesn't seem to be having a go because he is shit but because he isn't willing to fight and thinks is too good to be second fiddle.

Grey Fox last ITK said Danny Rose is not happy. So he's basically throwing his toys out the pram because he will have competition for Left Back position. If he's not willing to stick around and fight for his place, then GET RID!!!! Trust me he's not good enough to be pissed off.
