I think there are three types of players at the club:
  • Players who we are actively looking to offload.... Benny, Dawson etc
  • Players who we don't want to get rid of but would do so if it allowed us to bring in players we need, Sandro, Dembele, Townsend etc fall into this category.
  • Then we have the Lloris Erikson, Vertonghens of this world that we will not sell this window.
If we need the sell a few from the second category to give Potch the players he wants fair enough. I think Levy will get the job done though. This is the same guy that sold Zokora for a profit, and managed to mug Villa out of £5m for an injury prone Hutton!!!

Davies will be a starter, Dier could well be a starter and there is still 10 days to go. Stop being a spoilt child

Why havent we singed more players I say shniderlin and james rodrigez from saints both starters for pochs system with strikers too ade out soldier out etooo in lorentey in both worlds class sell players to zenit villas boss like sandro legend goodbye Dawson hero but time for qpr kaboul back to Portsmouth thats his level now.

levy taking the piss with asking 10m+ for all players even naughton just loan Loa n loan buy drfendrs what s going on???? uncle Joe sell your boat and buy the league just once.

I do disagree, though am not a guinea pig (I'm not quite sure what you mean by that as an expression. I don't feel 'experimented on' by anyone, but perhaps you have something else in mind). I agree that the manager isn't a magician. You're right. And there are no quick fixes and no certainties. The best thing is to calm down and learn the art of patience. You will feel better about the club and probably about yourself too. Alternatively, find another club which will offer you the instant gratification you seem to crave (Chelsea, City). Then you will always have what you want and the pleasure will no doubt be immense, knowing that success it is all 'bought'. Then again, if you can tolerate supporting Spurs a little longer, it may help to if you think less about individual players than the organism that is the team, greater than the sum of its parts. That, I think, is where Poch will help. As a concept it's an old chestnut, but nonetheless I believe it to be true.

Seems to me that too many are mixing up brand recognition with ability.

Davies, Vorm and Dier are good players. And Yedlin is a young talent. They would represent a healthy transfer window. Except, we got spoiled by last years massive squad overhaul. 7 in and 6 out was a lot. And it was fun for the summer. But it's a horrible thing for a football club. And the fact that we survived such a turnover and two poor coaches and still managed sixth is a testament to something good, if you sit down and think about it.

We don't want those kind of overhauls. so our four in and two out isn't so bad. And we will still have something happen.

How dare you sneak in and make the exact same points I was typing up! I had 8 pages of swear word laden vitriol with so many absurd similies crammed in, and there you go and succinctly steal my thunder in a concise thoughtful manner....not good form pissing on my chips like that!

The only upgrades we need to make are LW, and CB. Hopefully we get Mussachio and Depay. We already got an LB.
