Wouldn't bother taking any first team players to Partizan/Greek side. Just win the home games and send the kids/fringe players travelling.

The only positive is that 5/6 of the subsequent games are at WHL.

this will be fun. some decent teams instead of the crap we played last year and 6 games instead of 8. like someone else pointed out - a proper warm-up for champions league. Id much rather watch us play Betsikas and Partizan than Tromso and Sharif, even if we dont advance.
What am I missing, there were 6 matches also last season? Anzhi, Sheriff, Tromsø?

Our group isn't exactly easy. I think we may stuggle against Beşıktas. Partizan aren't pushovers.

It is a way into the Champions League, so nope. Lets go for it.

It's the draw that's pissed me off. Really wanted to go to an away game in a close EU country. I want us to win it, but I don't see it happening.

"Easy" might be pushing it but if we struggle to top the group we will have gone seriously off the boil.

Partizan isn't on patch with say Dinamo Zagreb, think Besiktas aside it was good draw from footballing perspective.

Platini doesn't want the aggro that happened last season on his doorstep again (UEFA full of frogs and Italians). That's why we have been shipped out to the arse end of nowhere. Be happy. It ain't Russia.

you are right. I am the one that is confused. Didnt there used to be 5 teams per group until recently? But we only played them once?

2006 uefa cup we played that format with Besiktas and Bayer Leverkesen away with 2 home games against other team.

First time back in Europe for a while for Spurs, but we also had Berbatov and Keane who helped us win all 4 games - including Besiktas away.
