Fuck knows, I don't see how they don't either. Ultimately at the end of their reign I put it down to being a substandard coach, this early on though I suspect Poch is easing his way into things and needs to kick arse and make changes. Things will take time though.

Its not just the usual suspects though, however much people don't want to hear it Eriksen and Lamela are as bad as the Townsend's and Lennon's in the squad... I lost count of the number of times today they didn't see a good option or ignored it in order to do some pointless bit of skill or made the game more difficult than it needed to be.

Too many players that seem to want to do something flash as soon as it gets to their feet in the squad. It needs to be drilled into them... Pass and move, minimum of fuss. Lets get the basics right first before trying all the fancy flicks and tricks.

Agreed, Lamela was getting on my nerves after a while, has all the skill and potential in the world, fancy stuff on the touchline miles from goal is just a waste.

Just logged on, who are we hating now? What thread can I read to avoid the suicidal ones? My 2 cents is that this is another season in transition. Please don't turn on the manager too quick. We need to stick by one for a while, y'know like, longer than half a season....

I fecking hope so! Verts not fully fit today and a home debut against unknown opponents maybe not an option for Fazio.
i just don't get Chiriches at all. Casual doesn't come close.

...Fazio is going to have to get a home debut against someone at some point.. WBA would have been a good option

We should never have sacked AVB.

It's painful for the majority to admit, but its so evidentlly obvious its untrue.

Levy should've also supported him and given him the players he wanted. But bygones are bygones... In Poch, we've got an AVB type manager back (maybe not the real deal, but a marked improvement on Sherwood) - let's see if he's given time to satiate the impatients.

I only blame Poch for the team he picked not the performance.

I don't believe he said to the players "lads, go out there today and stroll around. There's no hurry, pass it sideways whenever you get the chance. Ade, take it easy today, save yourself for next week. No running, no fight ok. Vlad, dribble with the ball in your own area, I like that. No pressing either lads, .... nice and slow, take the easy option every time. And whatever you do, don't take a shot at goal until at least the 70th minute"

Maybe not but surely you pick a team that can show some drive and desire, surely you pick a cb pairing that can defend rather than look like a circus double act that should be dressed in red noses and size 18's, you pick a captain that can lead by example and who is good enough to play in the team, you pick a vice captain that shows that desire rather than takes it easy. You actually pick players that do work rather than waft around and if they don't you make early changes rather than leaving things to the last half hour and the last 15 minutes
Surely that is the point of having a coach, you work with the players, inspire them to go out and really try, pick the players you feel will give you that, make subs count if they don't and don't reward players with the captaincy or vice captaincy if they don't merit it
The whole point about picking a team is to pick a team that will go out and play and show drive desire and determination along with the skills needed for their given roles. If you don't pick the right players then chances are you get the kind of display we had today. No doubt players have to take some of the blame but Poch got it badly wrong today and the bulk of the blame has to lie at his door

We've played well once all season.
Against the worst side in the league.

I wasn't keen on Pochettino.
I'm still a long way from being convinced.

I still believe he'll be gone before the end of next season.

Overpaid pampered legends to a man i fucking hate the fact that for an average wage of 50k a week none of these c@#ts feel it's necessary to turn up and put a shift in. Modern day football is slowly killing my love of the game.

..If at least we went down fighting I'd be happy.

I think posters are more angry at him than at Poch.

Because, when you look at the his tenure, we are not talking about "getting the odd day like this".

Days like this seem to be his standard, not some random occurrences.

I agree with the notion that, on average, your league position corresponds to your budget. But that would make the specific chairman simply neutral to the success/failure. Anybody would be able to do the job.

Instead, his job is to give us that "extra" over other clubs, such that we can finally have a structural break and get to the next (higher) level. This means, e.g. appointing the "right" manager at the "right" time, selling the "right" players at the "right" time etc.

And he is failing at that. That's the problem and that's why I (and others) are so angry.
It was Lamela.

Or chadli according to tony gale even though he was subbed 10 min before the goal

So poor today. Chiriches was suicidal at times and Adebayor has declined so much it's unbelievable. I think we're several great players away from top 4. We've still not replaced Berbatov, never mind Modric and Bale.

What I don't understand today is why the performance was shite. Why so slow? Why no pressing? Most of these players didn't play on Thursday, some didn't travel and in the case of Lamela and Capoue they didn't play too much more than 20 minutes but from minute 1 we were so lethargic.

Against QPR and Sunderland we were all over them from kick off. It just seems incredibly inconsistent.

Isn't that post missing another 10 paragraphs?. Poor show young man. ;)

Sheeeeeite! Accidentally posted first draft

Not to worry, just add: blah blah blah, blah blah blah, blah blah blah blah - several hundred times, and then, at the end, players are ****s, Poch is a ****, Levy/Leewis/Enic = ****s!
That'll give you the gist of it :woot::woot::woot:

"Transition" if that word won us points we'd have more titles than Man Ure.

Oh no not another transition. I don't blame Poch at all. It's just he has to work with a bunch of cowardly wankers masquerading as professional footballers. I'm hating on 9 players in total wearing the shirt today. Feel sorry for Lloris, deserves to be playing for a quality team. Wasting his career with us.

Still baffled by Fazio not playing. As far as we knew it was only Townsend and Walker out through injury.

Heads gone massively. Not the manager, not the chairman, not the fans, it's the fucking players. You can sack whoever you want but it's the ****s on the green bit that have to take responsibility

One good performance against a frankly garbage QPR and we were raving. It's simply not good enough and it's the same old shite we've been treated to again.

Last week we got served up not finishing the game off and being punished, the week before smashed against a rival again (who are still not great), struggling against the team bottom of the league (for a reason), at home and looking a shower of shite. Another set piece conceded. We literally see it every season.

Hundreds of millions of talent in the squad and it's all shite. We continue to support and protect the players but they need calling out now. THEY aren't good enough, no excuses. Step up or piss off.

Can't blame the EL considering none of the outfield players started midweek. Absolute rubbish yet again.

Why buy a successful defender (albeit in Spain) and then leave him out of the squad for the chuckle brothers. Kaboul is past it and Vlad isn't good enough

It is down to coaching, tactics, buying the right players and then picking the right team in my view..... If players don`t do the job they are required to do then you have to accept it and sell them even if it means losing money..

ALL the top team have great unselfish RUNNING OFF THE BALL.. SPURS have no players who do unselfish running for the team in attacking positions from midfield. By that I mean running to make space for others or making a run and almost forcing the playing in possession to play a forward pass. I am watching Man City do this against Chelsea all over the pitch.

Paulinho. Dear oh dear.. I can not defend this guy any more, comes on and is given a chance to impress.. barged off the ball, horrible distribution , stupid fouls.

Headless chicken comes to mind! These signings are due to people like baldini I'm sure of it... he looks complete garbage.

Is it just me who feels this...

Could see it happening if New owners were to come in usually these buyouts bring change of manager too.
