I forgot they won back to back FACups, but that may make this season worse because they should be winning the title. It is their best chance.

Oh, I get it, I really do - we are all going to be slightly peeved if Leicester pip us to the title. I mean, for the first time in forever we finally get a genuine sniff at the title, with most of the usual suspects having really poor seasons - and a club of the level, no offence to them, that even challenging for the title is a once in a hundred years freak occurrence. I even get where some of them are coming from if they truly believe that his time is passed.

What I don't get, reading that thread, is the shear level and volume of vitriol poured ol' Whingers head. They seem to hate him more than any spurs fan ever did. I honestly believe, if we were in exactly the same situation, if Poch is at the Lane as long as the Whinger has been a Goon, and if he wins us as many trophies as Whinger won them, I would be the first one organising a whip round for a 'fans appreciation of everything he has done for us' present. The fact that he might have tailed off a bit (in his ability to get us over the finish line in the league...ignoring the two F.A. Cups in two years for a moment) would be neither here nor there. I wouldn't hate him for it, I wouldn't feel pure fury at him. I would be grateful. When he took over them, they were pretty comparable to us - in terms of level trophies won. He is leaving them with quite a trophy gap over us...and they are pouring abuse on his poor befuddled can't handle his coat zip head...WTseriousF?

Where's the rest of your post?

:woot:

It's in a black bin-liner...I've left it in the park. The Short Post Poleeze are watching me. They have been following me for months...they know I have it. I'm going to pay some authority flouting yoots to nick in there after dark. If I can find a way to get it to you, I will...the war effort may depend on it!

Of course we are biased, but I don't think their fans get enough stick and criticism, seriously worst fans in the league, forget today, they had a big game against barca last week, they were mostly silent, and when the game when went against them they all left early - they deserve nothing. They don't deserve their place in that competition

something tells me the thought of us finishing above them is hurting them a little bit more than they would admit:ROFLMAO: and with the thought of us or Leicester winning the league, in a season they see as their best opportunity in 10yrs, is like a knife threw the heart.

I could understand it if there was only 2 or 3 games to go

Spent too long boasting about us 'always being in their shadow', reinventing St. Totteringham's Day so they could continue celebrating it, and pretending that we haven't improved dramatically (back closer to a level we actually belong, BTW) over the last decade and that it hasn't been a damned close run thing in most of that time - while at the same time spouting nonsense about United being their 'real' rivals now. I tell you truthfully, if Poch were to take us into an epoch of domination, like Fergie had at United, I would still consider them to be our only true, local, from way back in the day, derby rivals. It's them! No matter how much I might hate other clubs (I'm thinking of Chelsea, here) and no matter how much other clubs might be pushing us much more closely at the top, they would still be our local rivals, our derby team. Tossers.

I know not everyone agrees with me, but being aware of just how much the fans, and the atmosphere they generate, can affect the team, I have always felt that we should all be trying to generate a feel-good feeling about the club (and I know that hasn't gone down particularly well with some members). So, when I was surfing after the latest round of the CL was drawn, I was amazed, literally, amazed, that the fans of a club who have been in the CL for decades without interruption, domestic cup winners in the last two seasons, and looking a decent bet to win their league, one of the strongest leagues in World football, were all set for throwing the towel in the minute they were drawn with Barcelona. For Gawd's sake! At least talk it up, show some enthusiasm, whip up a fury, a do-or-die attitude. But, no, the fans were talking about their top four trophy and concentrating on other competitions. It really is sad. Even when we were drawn against Real Madrid we were realistic but still enthusiastic and wanting to give it a good go and you never know.

As I said above, I genuinely think a lot of them are glory-hunters from the early Whinger years or younger fans who would naturally be Goons but have taken the 'always in our shadow' sh*te just a tad too literally. It is like they have based a vital part of their identity on supporting a club who will finish above Spurs.

Posting a suicide note on twitter is just being an attention seeking whore imho

You sound like my psychiatrist.

Sorry guys to pick out your comments, there were more, you were just unlucky.

However, I lost a friend to suicide and it is a serious problem worldwide. Suicide is not a joke and should not be made fun of in any way, or at any time. I don't mean to be precious but I feel really strongly about it, I find it really offensive. If you want to see how serious I think about click on the link in my sig.

I can't be the only one chuffed to bits seeing walkers disallowed goal - not the offside part, but 5 spurs men sprinting a breakneck pace into the box around the 80 mins mark, that far into the match while already leading (i.e. knowing the importance of killing the game off) and this far into the season. Like a pack of wolves striking hard together at a slight whiff of blood.

Anyway, my gooner mate phones me after, clearly a little shaken/aroused having seen the same as me on MOTD 2, asks me "have you seen that shit" and informs me that's why we are winning the league, followed by an expletive reference to the female anatomy which seemed to be aimed generally in the direction of all people associated with spurs, though perhaps it was just all things Tottenham, who knows. Then he went on to say that's why he's also not going to be watching the game with me next week. Finally that he f hates it, at which point I swear he must have spat a droplet in his phone mic because the t-part was extremely well pronounced, while the whole statement sounded like it came deep from the pits of his stomach. That was followed by booooooooooooop (as in dead tone). So an amusing, though some what brief call.

Myself, I don't want to get too carried away, but still enjoying the moment - we are attacking like aliens, not predators.

That bit at the end with Claude has me in stiches, fucking hilarious. He is literally having a breakdown from how shit Arsenal are lmao. I remember spurs hurting like that many years ago...feels good to be positive about our future all the time now. Let me be clear, I mean the dark times at spurs where we always felt like the bottle jobs, it doesn't feel like that anymore, we are the real deal now IMO and have a strong sensible plan for the future, Arsenal just have turmoil on the horizon, once Wenger does go they will only get worse.
Brilliant!. One of these days Claude is going to grab hold of Tys neck and shake him to death like a Jack Russell with a rat!

This is a comment from gooner on the YT page of this video. I think it sums up the general feeling of us arsefanTV schadenfreude viewers on the annoying Ty & his positivity.

Get this dude off the screen. He's embarrassing us man. What kinda wasteman is this ? Pure nonsense comes out of his mouth and he don't represent ur average Arsenal fan. If he got gang raped in a Brazilian prison he'd still be putting a positive spin on it. Ty would be like: "yes i got gang raped - BUT, at least they lubed up before rogering me senseless " Fucking mug

Judging by the end of the video I think Claude agrees.:X3:

I agree with everything that you say, but you have missed the most vital component of Wenger's time there that should make every goon genuflect to his image.

Up until 1996, they were known as 'lucky Arsenal' and/or 'boring Arsenal'. They had always been pragmatic and occasionally - no, make that very occasionally - had a side that could play. For all that they, at times, had more success than us, their fans secretly wanted to be like us: to be the footballing side, to entertain. Wenger has single-handedly changed the culture of that club to the point that they are generally considered to be the most attractive english team. It's entirely because of him that hardly anybody remembers just what an appalling anti-football shower of shit they always were.

Bastard.

I just think we are about to bite them on the arse. All the shite I have taken for the last twenty years, how long I've had goober mates, is about to come back at them. Hopefully the spoilt ****s are about to have their toys taken away and I will love it

I disagree, unfortunately. If they got someone like Simeone, they'd be challenging for, if not winning the title. He'd install everything they've been missing for the last 10 years. A few other managers would do the job too. Hopefully by then though, we'd have established ourselves as CL regulars with the biggest fuck off stadium in London.

have the naming rights been sold?

The problem with Gooners is they haven't been humbled since Wenger join that shitstain of a club. 20 years of consistent title challenges and CL football, every other team around them has had to suffer at least one humbling season of no CL football in that time, which tends to temper the edges somewhat. But the Gooners? All their nouveau, hipster douchebag, spamming social media fans haven't known a humbling and so they want Wenger out after every loss because they think that's the worst it could possibly get for them.

Frankly until they either finish out of the CL places or we finish above them they'll continue to be ungrateful ****s who would rather whine about the greatest manager in their history than support their club properly.

On a slight tangent, SP mentioned generating a feel-good buzz at the club from the fans, well I've never been prouder of our fans than during the Swansea game, even after their goal they didn't get down or get on the players backs. They supported the club as we bombarded the Swansea goal and got our just dessert's. Outside of a big derby I've never seen the Lane rocking like that, and I loved every second of it.
