This kid has something special, would love us to sign him. Would imagine a loan-back for the season would make sense, but not sure if Fulham would want it. Scotty P has probably been singing his praises since he got here.

That is a very good point, I had forgotten about Scotty P's Fulham links for some reason.

Yeah Fulham had Scott Malone last season who was snapped up by Huddersfield.

Pretty sure he played left back mainly with Sessegnon playing further up on left side of attacking three.

Was surprised to see Sessegnon had been assigned the number 3 shirt as would have thought Fulham would have bought in a more bread and butter left back and allowed him to play further up.

Unless Sessegnon sees himself more as a left-back?

I maintain that I would really like him to come to Spurs, probably more than any other player at mo as really feel he could improve our left side and would be ideal for many tactical systems.

Davies is a good player but he just feels more solid than spectacular and if we really want to move up we need to maximise the quality in positions.

Rose obviously is a top class player but I don't trust his loyalty, I didn't even trust if before his outburst and was hoping we got Sessegnon as felt he'd want out next summer.

Also, I don't think Rose can play a full season with his injury record.

He must have indicated that he'd like to join if we have submitted a bid

Top priority for me this one, with Rose and perhaps Dier uncertain to remain past this season IMO. aGetting young English players is vital to maintain the character Poch has nurtured.

This would be a good move imo. Davies as the number one left back and RS as a young understudy who I think may be like Dele was when we got him i.e., not far off being ready to play at the top level. Maybe then we stick with Trippier, with KWP as a young understudy but have Dier and Sanchez who can play there as well. Hell Toby and Jan play full back at international level

Maybe Sessegnon thought there was no way he'd get in the Spurs team when we were first interested, but now that he's seen the turmoil (bit dramatic) around Rose, he thinks he is in with a shout.
Could be deployed further forward mind - an alternative to our apparent pursuit of Martial.

Either way, he was my top target this summer - getting him, Sanchez and Barkley will do just nicely.

This seems a bit odd. If we'd really wanted him and he wanted us, we could surely have got him before he signed a new deal for a fraction of the cost?

The only thing I can think is that we've been made aware of some sort of release clause, and the Rose situation has forced us to renew our interest.

Fulham are in a strong position with both Ryan and his brother. Unless either kicks up a fuss, which I think is very unlikely, they can hold out for as large a sum as possible. Given the interest in him, we'd be in a real bun fight. I just can't see us getting involved.
