I must have missed this? Where has BC gone??
He said something bad and was banished to the realm of the fighting cock. They really don't like him over there and his match reports irritated people so much that I don't think he writes them anymore. I actually really miss them, turtle, windsock and all.

Ahh right! Here's me thinking he had popped his cloggs!

More creativity in midfield + a more rested Dele and Kane = an exciting season ahead (hopefully!)

I'm 50 yr old and would consider myself an expert on alcohol induced recumbency..... I've seen some photos of dele today that seem to suggest he is taking the "get a good rest" bit to heart .... good lad.... I've had some invigorating sleeps after a belly full of Stella and jd and coke chasers .... he will be fine

I think the days of an outright defensive midfielder are dieing now. Its not enough in this age. Fernandinho is a great example of that. You have to be able to play out with the ball in tight spaces not just break up play. Ndombele is another that falls into that category. Wanyama was a beast a couple of seasons ago. I just don't see a space for him in the modern game so I would cash in on him.

I

I'm hoping.
Dave Mackay was my favourite all time player. It wasn't just his power. He was very confident and had charisma and when Dave was playing all the other players played like giants too. He was inspirational not on what he said but how he played.
NDombele is confident. He has a perfect mix of strength and ball talent and desire. I'm hoping he will ignite this team. We are stronger than we have been for many many decades, if we can go up a level where we are confident enough to feel we can win any game we play, where our fans believe we can win any game its a brilliant feeling. NDombele will bring us closer I think.
If he is really good he will inspire the others to believe. Thats an exciting thought

I always felt Dembele had that effect, when things were difficult and we were up against a top team he could give us a lift and the players seemed to gain confidence with him in the team.

Although it's a lot to expect of a 22 year old, he needs time to adapt.

I appreciate Poch, this blokes mentality, our fantastic facilities and the fact this Pogba shit is happening this week, not last.

Julien: "The feeling back home in France is this is a club with the best stadium in the world, one of the best training grounds in the world, a team that was quite unlucky not to win the Champions League last season and with one of the best managers in football. Add all those things together and it’s quite something. That’s what Ndombele liked. From a very early stage when he knew about the interest from Spurs he was adamant this was a big club where he would continue his progression, the perfect place to grow and hopefully win things.

The same Jullien Lauren’s who a week before the transfer on live radio that we didn’t have the money to sign Ndombele and wouldn’t get him.
