Not saying we’re not creative or anything, but those stats are from 3 years ago and came in one of the lowest standards for teams in the premier league era
We were also top of goals scored, goals against (obviously goal differential) and similar stats when we finished second to Chelsea, and then the last two seasons you have to factor in the Wembley influence, and then the ridiculously turbulent season we had last year with a team that was, frankly, absolutely wrecked from arguably matchday one with the injuries never relenting.

Was nice to hear that Hugo and Sissoko talked to him before the move, saying he'd settle quickly and that we have amazing fans:happy:

He has a whole bag of tricks in his armory.

Agreed. What I love about the idea of him, Winks and GLC in the middle is that they all have a bit of everything. All hard working, good in the tackle, technically good, tactically aware (I think)...everything really.

I get that losing Eriksen will be a massive shame but I feel the midfield unit, on paper, looks so much better than last year, and I think that will bring a lot more out of our forwards, and give a better protection to the defence. Seriously exciting

Again fair points. I’m not saying we don’t score enough goals or anything but agree it would be nice to be a bit more free flowing and get some more comfortable wins under our belt next season and hopefully the new signings will help us to do that

More creativity in midfield + a more rested Dele and Kane = an exciting season ahead (hopefully!)

Just realised how livid BC would have been with this signing and someone else getting in the way of Onomah the world renowned CM.

God rest his soul.

Are you kidding? Beece loved a Lyon midfielder/forward more than almost anything: Tolisso, Fekir, Lacazette - they all had him drooling more than Onomah ever did. He would have loved the idea of Ndombele joining.

However nothing - not even a midfielder safely passing backwards one zillion times per game like Tom Carroll used to - compared to his all-consuming love for Darijo Srna. Srna was his one true passion.

Come on, Bear, at least do a bit of fact-checking if you're going to write an obituary.

No I’m not having that. It’s reduced his time getting minutes, which is what makes the world go round. NdombeleSchmombele.

It’s a real shame he got barbecued before really having to live and die by “we should go for Aurier, he’s already better than Walker.”

Srna did make me chuckle, anyone that played Football Manager would have signed the **** in a heartbeat.

I think the struggles last season have caused some people to forget just how creative we have been under Poch when we've had a fully fit and firing team.

I think Poch has been creative but its a different type of creativity. Poch has been opening up the field by the counter,or pressing and counter
but our play going forward generally has been slower starting from the back with this sideways and back passing to get through the space etc. A slow grind.

Im talking about proactive creativity.More open footie. Poch got us so far with the counter style now I think he is buying playing to push us forward and create with dribbling and passing forward

That’s not true at all. 2 years ago, 2016-17, we were actually well above the average second placed team. 86 points, 86 goals, 26 conceded is a very high standard.

Yeah that year we were properly brilliant, barely lost a game. If we hadn't drawn so many games at the start of the season and/or Chelsea had been in Europe, we woulda cruised the league.

That final season at the lane was absolutely brilliant! I have high hopes for this one as well with our new signings and finally a finished stadium. Fingers crossed and all that

Can't wait to see him in action in the Premier League this season. All these hype-videos of him are insane

Don't forget that Lesniak also could have done a job there and saved us £60 million odd
