The players we are trying to sign are just on holiday or injured at the minute so no need to worry...that seems to be the narrative for the optimists out there anyway!

Just some guesses why Poch "could" be upset....

1) Only one new player in early enough to get him acclimated and into the team. Still waiting on any potential others and will be much harder to get them into team even if they come this week.

2) Toby, Eriksen still have no new contracts and as of now will not be here next year and will need to be replaced. That will take some major investment. A lot of ITK said Poch dealt with Toby last year because he had to do so (making best of bad situation).

3) Trippier sold with no replacement - looks like KWP will need to play first few games of PL season.

4) Rose looking like he wants out. If he doesn't leave, they will need another replacement next year. Maybe that's Sess but he is still not here.

5) Only deadwood off squad as of now is Janssen. Wanyama, N'Koudou, perhaps others Poch wants out are still there.

Yes, I know we’ve signed two players this window. When I said it was the same as last summer, I meant in terms of it starting with a lot of optimism with us slowly realising that it’s turning shambolic. I thought that was obvious.

Ndombele was a great signing. But we need more. A lot more. At this rate I’d be content with Lo Celso and Sess, but with Eriksen’s future in doubt and the lack of a competent right-back, that’s still somewhat disappointing. If Eriksen stays after the other transfer deadlines, then I’ll be fairly happy.

This is literally last summer all over again.

Oh all the things that concern me about the fine people of Great Britain, widespread misuse of the word ‘literally’ is amongst the most irksome.

I mean, correctly using the word literally in reference to this window would be to say ‘this is literally not last summer all over again’ or ‘people on Spurscommunity are literally misusing the word ‘literally’ in the GLC thread’ or ‘Spurs have literally signed infinite times as many players as last summer’.*

* that final point is subjective depending on which definition of infinity you subscribe to.

Hear me out here lads..

MAYBE, just MAYBE, if we did some of the business that we need to do LAST summer, there wouldn't be as many key areas needing addressing in the last 10 days.

Just a thought.

But we have money coming in still, at new record levels no less.
Of course but we also spent a lot on the stadium so it will take time to make back. I'm not suggesting we dont have money to spend, just that we have to balance what we can spend.

One of which we can't play until next season.

True but irrelevant to this argument. It's not like last summer at all. We've shifted some deadwood and bought in a world class replacement for Dembele. Most of the ITK we've had this window as been extremely positive so maybe we wait and see how this week pans out before losing our collective shit.

Just where has all the money gone? We're only at about 30 million net spend this summer, and we've still got the money from last two windows in our pockets.

One signing, and a kid who is years away from being good enough, is NOT backing Poch. I suppose we shouldn't be surprised, Levy never changes. If GLC does come in but ends up being a straight swap with Eriksen going out, and we don't sign another big player on top of that, I'll be pissed as Levy will have just been mugging us all off.

The only way I'll be happy is GLC in, Eriksen stays. Or GLC in, A dybala or someone else, and Eriksen goes.

I honestly think that is the absolute bare minimum Poch and us fans need and deserve after two years of no signings and no ambition in the market.

I just want the window to close really as it's exasperating.

It will pay us back a lot quicker if we keep qualifying for and progressing far in the CL.

That's what makes me nervous. I unfortunately could see Eriksen leaving after our window has closed.

Also, FYI the infinity gauntlet in your photo is flipped horizontally.

For the record, Transfer Forum Police have more power than Grammar Police.

It’s the same every window all starts positive then slowly as window starts to close it turns more and more negative! Hence why we are slowly losing our collective shit! I think we all hope the club proves us all wrong and week or so time we are all on here feeling rather silly for these tantrums! But given our history in the transfer window it’s very hard to feel this is going to be an different

For the record, I don't believe it's panic time just yet. There's still over a week left. It is very concerning how quickly this has turned though.

Mate, I posted the same sentiment two weeks ago, and got ratio'd into oblivion. Not a popular take - although it's Levy we're talking about so it should be self-evident.
I just can't see us dropping 60-80 million without levy wanting to recoup as much. And ive got previous windows to back that up. Right or wrong it's what he's going to do.
