I'd say my problem with that is if you read the recent papers that Son released about his transfer then you'd know the integral part that Levy being there face to face played in forcing that over the line.

The key part was that they couldn't agree a transfer fee so Levy suggested Son came back to London with him to agree possible personal terms and the clubs could continue to negotiate. Levy then tells Son on the plane to relax because "The side with the player has the advantage" So whilst communication has improved, there's elements that are really important that he should be here for.

The reports from the french press about the Ndombele negotiations told a similar story of the way Levy negotiated towards the end of that deal.

Only caveat is that he could simply be there for 2/3 days knowing that nothing of the sort I mentioned was being done in the short term and returns tomorrow but we'll see.

For those interested because I can't read Korean:

I don't know how to stop it auto changing to media I won't lie:LOL:

We've sent representatives for the BF transfer. Levy's negotiations with Ndombele concerned his personal terms. Regarding GLC, the fee is agreed his personal terms are agreed, however Betis want to restructure the deal.

My tiny worry at the moment is that Poch said the same thing late in last summer’s window: that he hadn’t spoken to Levy for some time.

Now this could be a standard response designed to minimise discussion with journalists about transfer speculation, or it’s true.

I’ll admit this window has been a weird one so far; it started with much promise and landed us a prospect for the future and a highly coveted rising star. Fantastic stuff. Then nothing concrete.

There is a feeling deep down in my nuts, a sort of heavy feeling like liquid lead being turned, that we run out of time and miss other key targets. It’s only a feeling, borne largely out of the disaster of last year’s window, and it could well be wide of the mark, but I suppose what I’m bringing myself to imagine is that we could fail to bring in either Fernandes or Lo Celso. And we’d still either flog Eriksen or fail to convince him to sign a new contract and be left with someone running down their contract and probably playing below their high standards because they’re no longer committed.

It could all end gloriously for us, but the lead in my nuts gets heavier and more sickening with each passing day now

Impossible, no multimillion pound deals are done every single day with people being in different countries.

There are NO ways to electronically mail and/or speak over the telephone.

Everyone always must be in the same room.
All of your points are correct. But we are talking about Levy the guy who everyday discussed in detail in person regarding the stadium construction.

Most of you lot think he’s useless most of the time - and spend your time slating his every move - so surely this is better for you?

Make your minds up.

Also, just maybe calm down.

Well you're just making a straw man based out of nothing because I've spent recent weeks defending him including today so to suggest I think he's useless is a complete fallacy but as usual people can't argue the point and have to suggest people calm down.

Why is it a dig at Levy when all Poch has done is state where Levy is.

Pretty sure that Levy goes to Miami around this time of year every year.
To say he's had no contact at all with levy? Sounds like a dig to me tbh just like when he said he has no say on transfers which is completely false

That's odd logic... So by him insinuating there is an issue between him and Levy, lack of communication, whatever it is, that is going to stop Journo's asking questions? If anything he's quadrupled the attention on him by his recent comments

So, what should he do? He could say 'Yes, we speak regularly' which would invite a barrage of questions about the content of the coversations (which Poch clearly dislikes). It's the equivalent to the Wenger mantra of 'I didn't see it' which brings the questioning to an abrupt halt. If you choose to read it as Poch 'insinuating there is an issue' I guess that's your view of it but it smacks of paranoia IMO.

Poch said that Levy deals with all the transfers and he isn't involved ergo why would he have to be in touch with him? If Levy has news then Levy would be in touch, right? His last few pressers have been fucking amazing, it's like fantasy fiction hour after he offers up some hot takes.

Surely the answer is to empty them?

Things are not looking good but hope is still there for Lo Celso and Sessengnon. Fernandes and Dybala look unlikely, basically because of other interests, which just goes to show that money is still God. My biggest worry is Pochettino and his post match comments which all seem to point to a breakdown in our own communications. I was hoping we may have a surprise or two up our sleeves. Pretty much certain now that we don’t and that says we have still the same problems.
I am hoping things are better in the background but some ITK also seems to hint that some of them are feeling just as frustrated as us.
Maybe we all should pray to our Gods but I don’t believe they like us anymore. Ker-ching.
Fernandes looks a lot more likely to me than Lo Celso at this point given United have supposedly denied any interest.

Hold strong!

In honesty, I’m not optimistic about us finishing the window satisfactorily, all the signs are there and it’s feeling more than a bit familiar. We’ll see what Thursday brings of course but as it stands I’m prepared for the worst.

Doesn’t mean I’ll be polishing off the pitchfork but it will make me concerned about where we go from here.

We've also done business with sporting before.

We do seem to get deals done better with clubs we have prior with, Ajax, PSG, Lyon . But then again every deal involving a Madrud player coming to us is a waste of time.

Agree with your nuts. Somehow we’ve got ourselves into a very difficult situation. Difficult to accept

Hercules in the ITK thread is clear that regarding GLC, Betis are being absolute twats. It sounds like everything has been done our end so if they adjust their position in time, he’s ours. I don’t see this scenario as pitchfork worthy, even if it fails to materialise. But it’s going to be very difficult to bare if it doesn’t happen

The last time we did business with them, we fucked them big time with a clause in Dier's contract.

New regime though, so maybe a new relationship

Particularly for those on here whose twitter cred and snapchat bantz (am I saying it right?) will go down the toilet because we’ve not hit our ‘squad goals’.

Vibes, just vibes everything.

I hate the world :(

It certainly should be. What will kane and our other better players be thinking? Id love to know what IS worthy for some of you guys to question our hierarchy? As we all know the window doesnt shut until thursday....

But time is ticking....poch is waiting. Could be carnage ahead but lets hope not.

The issue isn't that Levy is in Miami. The issue is Pochettino apparently hasn't spoken to him in a few days and he specifically cited the fact that he is in Miami as seemingly the reason. Pochettino also said the following, according to Ally Gold about Ndombele, noting that:

I mean, isn't he just saying he's the new kid at the school? Everyone else is settled and knows each other. If there were a cohort starting together he'd have some people in a similar position.

You realise that it’s possible to question the hierarchy without, oh I can’t be bothered. I’m going for a dip :(
