I don't know how it's happened so quickly, but I have zero confidence in our ability to get anything out of this game.

If Lamela and Lucas start, I'll be expecting a 5-0 thrashing. The way Pepe just ran past Liverpool's defence - even the sainted Van Dijk - reminded me a lot of Bale in his prime, and we will be a lot less successful in retaining the ball and cutting off his supply lines than the scousers were.

If we don't swamp the midfield and have Kane and Son press Luiz relentlessly, the game will be gone in the first 15 minutes.

According to most news articles, Tanguy won't be available, Aurier on the otherhand is supposedly fit?
As we need creativity desperately and we are talking about Arsenal's midfield, we could just go for it and play a 433:

Lloris
Aurier Toby Verts Rose
Sissoko
Lo Celso Eriksen
Lucas Kane Son
Bench:
Gazza Dier Sanchez Davies Winks Lamela Alli

For whatever reason the standard and demand of training day in, day out looks a huge step up for him, given the evidence of his pre-season outings. That's going to be causing huge stress and fatigue on his body as he plays catch up, and then we pitch him in to PL matches for 90 mins where the intensity and demands only go up on top of that. I don't think that's bad luck, huge chance of someone breaking down.

Well, that doesn’t sound like a good way to treat a £60 million investment in the playing staff if you ask me!

If the usual happens and we find ourselves behind early on than something really needs to change. We seemingly always gift them a stupid goal really early on and can never handle the immediate out the blocks attack and press they have. Even the times we've nicked a point or lost narrowly, we could have been 3 for 4 down by the time we actually wake up. 2 weeks ago this fixture didn't scare me. But with the way we've been playing and the injuries/Poch fucking about with the team, makes me think we're gonna get turned over quite badly.

I know it was largely reserve teams but we scored two goals by going direct when we last played them. I wonder if we'll use that again. It's at least a way to break the first press.

With the way we’ve been defending so far, I’ll be happy to get to half-time without conceding. That’d be a good start.

Defend, defend solidly and frustrate them with attempts to hit them on the counter. Would like to see Moura and Son play much wider in our attacking phases of play perhaps even with 3 CBs.

The scum and their fans have evolved into west ham, this is the one game their stadium rocks and they will be bang up for it.

We must match them toe to toe with energy or we will get turned over.

If we turn up , i have no worries, if we don't we're fucked.

Id like to see Tanganga in the squad, he performed really well in pre season, he should have made the bench already this season. I also hope we have the next available right back, maybe Tariq Hinds in the match day squad, we have a pedigree of creating good right backs.

Woman at work is pregnant, I'll see if the little fetus is ready for the bench

Please Poch, pick out best players...

I’d go with:

Lloris
Aurier Toby Jan Rose
Sissoko Winks
Eriksen Alli Son
Kane

Bench: Gazzaniga, Sanchez, Davies, Dier, Lamela, Lo Celso, Lucas

Winks and Sissoko CM, ?

It’s such a poor midfield. I know...it’s not like we have many other options. But surely arsenal away you need to play a specialist DM no? Who in that midfield will put their foot in?

On the BBC website there's an option to pick a combined Spurs/Arse 11. Just like last year it's hard not to pick at least 7 or 8 Spurs players but the consensus seems to be that we will struggle. Injuries aside, that says a lot about the current state of our team.

Depends on who's fit, but we need to set up like an away game in the CL & hopefully we have the players to do that.
