This result may be enough to put us through the group stage, but imo it's just not good enough, especially if you want to win the group. This Olympiacos team is mediocre by european standards, on the border to being shit. They didn't even win their shit league last season. We should win a game like this. Other big teams would have.

The right back situation is laughable. Sanchez and Foyth being converted into right backs when we have 2 right backs in the squad already. Its beyond any logic I can think of.

Can't see the positivity from the optimists here. Not like such poor performance is a bad day in the office. We are in September and we have been treated to such lacklustre games since beginning this year, and those were last season games.

Lost at home to the barcodes already and we allowed 2-0 lead to slip, twice, with the first goal conceded right before half time.

Tell me things are going rosy if any one can. And we are not even done with bad and persistent injuries, players playing out of positions, contractual issues etc.

First few games:
Lethargic, apparently lacking energy and certainly lacking dynamism. Slow tempo, ponderous in possession with little movement and always seeming to look for the square or backwards pass rather than the incisive one.

Palace:
High tempo. Dynamic with good movement and incisive passing. Players finding space between he lines and being found by quick, accurate forward passes.

Olympiacos:
Back to normal.

EDIT
Next game:
Fuck knows. Hoping for the best and expecting the worst.

So many posts at the start of the thread saying they'll take a point.

Vitriol at the end of the thread for only getting a point. ??

But surely before kickoff a point would have been acceptable but being 2-0 up going towards half time expectations can change.

So yes, draws away, wins at home are the group stage plan but we chucked away two points there.

And in a very disappointing fashion.
didnt learn our lesson vs Arsenal this season conceding before half time and giving the confidence boost away. We really have to get stronger before the break.
And (Poxy) Eriksen didn’t learn his from the City VAR moment.

Going 2-0 up I’m in the that should have been a win camp.

I wouldn’t mind a point if it was half decent to watch. We must be one of the most boring and predictable teams to watch. Other Han 45 minutes v palace, we have been so stale for almost a year.

What so Poch is immune to questioning? When a team turns in the performances that we have over the past year, you tend to question the manager. After all, he trains them, plays them and sets the tactics and style he wants them to play.
Because in his own words over the past two summers he wanted to make tangible changes to the squad and has been massively prevented from doing so. My opinion, I may be wrong, but he’s been let down by others, partly key players and partly by Levy.

Don't think anyone's suggesting things are "rosy".

Just that things are not quite so bad that some people have to react like Poch's personally shot their daughters' pet rabbit while screaming "I'm berry berry proud muthafucker" into a loudhailer.

Things do feel rather stale at the moment if I'm honest.

Injuries aren't helping granted.

I'm looking forward to seeing Parrott get some gametime next week. Maybe that is what is needed. Some young blood to freshen up this squad stuck in abit of a rut.

He's got his squad now so he has no excuse really, we should be playing better football more consistently by all accounts.

We are often the showcase example of what not to do during a game of football

2-0 up? Don’t want to concede just before half time...

2-1 up and dominating the game? Would be foolish to fail to clear your lines and then give away a soft penalty on a player with his back to goal...

Back to olde day spurs at moment, excellent one game then back to shit again for the next.

The great teams consistently pull out the good, which we were doing for a good while.

And how Eriksen feels he deserved a move up is beyond me as his attitude stinks lately.

And playing Sanchez right back again? Makes me wonder what goes on in Poch’s stubborn head sometimes...

A performance to forget, Again, we threw away a two goal lead. What is Poch thiking about putting Sanchez right back???. We wasted chances and also lost possession very quickly, I thought that we were lucky to get a draw.

I bet Ben Davies wishes he was left behind, got roasted by that winger. Mind you he wasn't the only one to have a generally poor game & Eriksen didn't contribute anything either defensively or in an attacking sense.

An incredible frustrating watch, especially as somehow we were 2 up again & I bet Leicester were rubbing their hands at the prospect of playing us.
