Slow af, but very rarely put himself in the position to let that be exploited.Charlie was exactly the sort of full back that I like. Such a composed and intelligent footballer.

Goals change games. Or the lack of them. If we had equalised in that last 10-15 minute push, most people would be talking about our character in coming back after going 2-1 down. Rose decided to pick out a mate in the crowd, Toby headed the ball straight at Allison and Son's shot was weak and hence, instead, most are berating a defensive performance born out of necessity really.
Did you lot really think we'd go to Anfield and attempt to play them off the park? Especially after an early goal? I'm not saying the performance was good, I'm saying it wasn't the shit-show you're all making it out to be. We suffered an expected onslaught against arguably the best team in Europe right now. I don't know what people thought was going to happen at 1-0.
And I don't know what people expect from Poch with Aurier and Rose at full back. They are terrible. How we ended up with those 2 is where the inquiry ought to be held. If that's Poch's fault, then berate him all you want, I'm with you. But I suspect he's not to blame for that, hence his anger at the start of the season. If Liverpool had Aurier & Rose at full back I bet you they'd be nowhere near 28 points so far.

I reckon Jan would stay here for the rest of his career if given the opportunity. I've no idea why Poche decided to pick a fight with him at the start of the season.
But we're not close to challenging them. That's the point. No team in Europe can expect to go to Anfield at present and expect to control a game.Yes indeed it was a total shit-show! Even if Son buries that or we finish 1-1 or whatever, the performance was nowhere near good enough. Anyone can see we were running around like headless chickens with no plan at all other than to defend.
It was like City away. Got absolutely dominated the whole game, and we're not even close to challenging them.
That's the point though, is he the one who picks them? Because he seemed to suggest his title is head coach in the summer, which alludes to some lack of control! He picks the players.
If he thought they weren't good enough then he'd of prioritised the fullback positions in the summer.
I'm talking about Sunday though. The discussion is Sunday, not generally how bad/good we've been. Sunday was not a shit-show.The things people are most perplexed about from Sunday are the following, in no particular order;
Eriksen in the starting XI after being absolutely awful for months, and then staying on the pitch for 88 minutes having had zero effect on the game in any sense.
Ndombele not starting after an excellent performance on Tuesday, coming on and actually helping us to play better and then Poch basically shooting the effect he had on the team down
Leaving an ineffective Winks and Alli on the pitch.
His tactics and in game management allowing Robertson and Arnold to have as much space as they wanted, making 2 attacking subs with 5 minutes to go to try and salvage something.
Besides, it's not just Sunday that has people irritated and annoyed. Its what's gone on at the results end since January/February.
Our form has been shocking since he was linked with United and Madrid. He spoke the night before the CL final and made it all about him leaving if we won.
He continues to play a system that has not worked for the team. He's so stubborn that he will continue to play it, with players who don't want to be at the club just to try to prove that hes in the right.
He never ever takes responsibility. Never admits that he got it wrong.
I had a lot of love and admiration for him up to last season. But he continues to shoot himself, and the club, in the foot by continuing to make the same god damn mistakes every week.
That's the point though, is he the one who picks them? Because he seemed to suggest his title is head coach in the summer, which alludes to some lack of control!
In what way? Are you suggesting this fact is incovenient to your "ITS ALL POCHETTINO'S FAULT!" argument? I suppose it is yes.How convenient.

So he's a liar as well as a shit manager? Ok.Oh come on, he was being facetious then. Another interview where he was being unhelpful and contradictory.
He has too much control over transfers if you ask me. He seems better when just given a load of players and is asked to coach them. It's when he's given the reigns on bringing players in we've struggled. We've been told 2 summers ago he had to bare a fair amount of blame for us not bringing anyone in.
So he's a liar as well as a shit manager? Ok.
Why am I on a high horse? I've stated a fact that contradicts your opinion and you've just waved it away as non-existent because it doesn't tie-in with your general theory.Where've I said he's a liar?
Get off your high horse and go and watch the interview.

I completely agree. But that still doesn't mean Sunday's performance was a shit-show!It's not the result that pissed me off. I expected nothing from a trip to Anfield and I doubt many did. The real kicker was seeing the starting lineup and set up. Eriksen should never have started and should never have been given the job of keeping Robertson quiet. Sissoko should have started out there as part of a MF3 in my opinion. That would have left Aurier on Mane, which isn't ideal but defendable.
It was a kick in the teeth to the players who showed passion and fight in midweek to revert back to type. Eriksen should have been hooked at half time (and that's being generous) but somehow managed to stay on for 87 fucking minutes, by which time we were finished. Ndombele and LoCelso came on a gave us a glimpse of what we could have had if Poch hadn't been such a stubborn fucker. Oliver Skipp would have run his nuts off for us at Anfield. I don't know if it would have made a difference but at least we wouldn't be watching a player who blatantly doesn't give a fuck any more.

You cannot just re-write history and facts just because you've got a vendetta against our manager. He has lots of flaws at present. There are plenty to discuss, you don't need to completely shit all over everything just because you're throwing all your toys out of your pram and crying like a pussy.
Judging by this lot? Win the next game. That's the thing with fickle twats. You're only one game away from glory or despair. If we were to win our next 4 league games would all this hostility towards MP fade?
What does he have to do to get people back on side?
I completely agree. But that still doesn't mean Sunday's performance was a shit-show!
