I think, (and may be incorrect) that we have won just six of our last twenty six PL games.

Name me another manager who would still be in charge of PL club given those stats.
We’ve won 6 of our last 24 PL games since mid-February.

Also 14pts after 12 games is our lowest tally for 11years ... that year (2007/2008) we had 8pts after the same amount of games ... and Martin Jol got sacked as a result.

I’m a huge Poch fan - his legacy will go down as one of the most important in the club’s history ... if he goes now.

After that performance it looks like ANYONE could motivate our players better than him right now.

The senior players will probably want a big name if they are to stay at the club - but a high profile interim manager to get us to the summer and stop us getting relegated feels like the right move now. There are a few around.

So sad that it’s come to this but we have not been a good football team for over a year, there were consistently at least two players every game who went missing last season too. This year it’s around 3 or 4 a PL game. Every week.

It’s got to be down to consistent bad management, yes by the club for dropping the ball on transfers in the last few years but also by Poch because:

1) the team haven’t been together enough for 11 of them to all pull their weight at the same time for over a year.

and

2) those players are being chosen to be on the team sheet week in week out. They’d have to be method actors better than Joaquin Phoenix in training to convince a manager worth their salt they are good enough to start - and then go and put in performances like the ones we’ve seen in the PL this season.

Sorry to say but Poch appears to be done in that squad‘s eyes.

6 from last 24 actually, it' not THAT fucking bad You're just trying to get Poch sacked aren't you? I mean before this 24 game run we had 4 fantastic wins in a row against the mighty Fulham, Watford, Newcastle and Leicester, who finished 19th, 13th, 11th and 9th respectively (I mean even one top-half team in that great winning sequence)

We can be a 60+ point team again, just give Poch a few more seasons to "rebuild" (apparently)

He wasn’t backed to buy a player for 2 years. We went backwards because of this. He purchased players in the summer but they need time. He also has 3 of of our best players wanting to leave.
And the fact he has not addressed this issue and allowed them to keep playing, as shit as they have been, also speaks volumes.
If you want out, then fuck off into the reserves, watch your value drop and then see who comes in for you.
Eriksen has turned into the midfield Adebayor. When he was fighting for a contract/ move, he was on fire. Then turned shit over night. Toby is a shadow of his former self. As is Dele, Rose, Verts and Kane. The performers are Son, Lucas, Sissoko, the new crew. That's it.

We're in the crapper lads and that's down to poch and no one else. He gets 8 million pounds a year to get it right. Sorry but accountability has to enter the picture at some point.

just watched the game and had some thoughts:
First Half
Aurier - poor defensive headers, weak in the challenge
Kane - wow what a miss after 15 mins after a rare bit of good work from Aurier and some good Dele play
Balls from out wide against us are too easy against us - Aurier in particular a problem
Can't have Sissoko at the base of midfield when we have the ball because he can't distribute
30 min first half show cased a few issues. First lose the ball because Sissoko can't distribute. From the corner it breaks to left hand side, Aurier charges out there but then stops and doesn't challenge/ block the ball, when it is played in there is an overload on his side and they end up hitting the post
Son, GLC, Alli bright in moments

Second half
Davies - not switched on enough defensively
Son, GLC, Alli some good connecting
Love Son
Dier not sharp at all
Kane not sharp
VAR is terrible - like Sonny Leic goal
Son should have had a penalty
Moura must think it is an Argentine Brazil thing

Whether it is with Poch or not - the harsh truth is we need 5-6 players out and at least 4 in

Why on earth did we not get AWB????
I had the exact same thought yesterday.

He had the chance to be backed but in his eyes the only footballer in the world better than Dier and Alli was Frenkie de Jong. Its insane.

Remember Berainho? He was the only player worthy of buying that summer.

And Poch himself vetoed against a director of football.

He got us to a champions league final with Winks and Sissoko in midfield. Think about that for a bit.

The only fact is that he didn’t buy a player. Come back with facts no ITK nonsense

choose to believe what you like, but there is more than enough ITKfrom various sources that say he was both indecisive and unrealistic over his transfer targets which means we missed out on genuine realistic ones that would have made a difference.. The stubborness and inflexibility in his team selections only goes to reinforce my belief that their is at least some truth in these rumours.
i loved they guy, fun Poch was the best manager I can remember at spurs in my time supporting the club, but he’s been replaced by a cross between AVB and Mouribho at his worst, grumpy, tetchy and stubborn.
the CL final papered over some massive cracks and to absolve Poch of any blame for the current situation is very naive

there is that a better reply for you?

Is it just my imagination or was Ali effing and blinding when he was subbed off for Foyth? If I'm right it shows he doesn't rate Poch, and is not the only one or he wouldn't have had the confidence to react that way.

So many players were absolute turd today. Special mention to Kane who doesn't even look good enough for league 1, honestly... If Moura was given all the minutes he has gotten he would surely have used them better. Dier - jesus christ. Lo Celso, while not bad, was a little underwhelming for me, given the amount of praise he gets.

Poch is just a complete lemon... I feel like he finally dropped Eriksen from fan pressure alone. He would play all his mates all the time if he could get away with it. Team selection is most definitely NOT a meritocracy under him.

We're fucked, and I don't really care anymore. It hardly hurts when we concede... used to be so different.

Maybe he didn’t want to come off? I mean this happens in most games every day. I’ve seen Aguero do it and he loves Pep.

So
Team starts to find form -players gain confidence-wins start to follow
Poch fails to gain champions league for first time in years of success
I think we should support the manager-he's been great for some time and deserves more respect than most of you lot are giving him

You're right. I remember that. Dele was fuming over something but then the camera cut away and the shit commentary ignored it. Not sure if he was upset over being subbed or raging at a Utd player. He was not a happy boy that's for sure.

I was at the game. He was moaning at either the defence or Gazzaniga. Pretty sure it was Gazza, we tried to pass around their press and failed miserably and it was kicked out to touch or something. Alli was pointing and shouting and then his number was up instantly to come off.

I’m not even angry, I just expect it now.

Just like I expect Moura to get 2 minutes when we are chasing a goal. And playing 5 at the back at some point in a home game.

Oh well, would like to say it was a good day out yesterday but it pissed it down with rain, got to the stadium and watched Chelsea win...christ. BRING ON THE INTERNATIONAL BREAK

I don't get this 'rebuild' situation.

We need 4 new players in my mind, left and right back, centre back and a striker.

Rebuild suggests the majority of the players we have aren't part of the future. That would mean moving a load of them on and then jumping into the market to replace them. That's not going to happen.

The problem to me is not particularly the players. It's the tactics and style of play. That's where the change needs to be for me. Play with intensity and, stop going backwards.

I didn't catch the game yesterday, but I see that the line up was pretty much the one we all hoped for. We got a decent point againt a difficult and in form Sheffield. Hopefully now this team can get some form going.

So we're all happy... Right? :cautious:
