Jose out!
Not in the squad today.
Agree. He's Son's backup at the moment on the left. Lamela will rotate with Lucas on the right.I think he's gonna find a role in Mou's team if we stick to a 4-3-3. He's the only other natural winger we have aside from Son and Lucas. Eriksen's spot in the squad for next match is certainly up for grabs (and I don't think Lamela will be fit for the match either). We saw what he was capable of providing out wide off the bench in our last Champion's League match.

It must, surely in one day became with Sessegnon and Foyth as pair of full-backs, right?
If that was the case he got it all wrong.I'm sure Jose will have picked which side of West Ham was the weaker defensively (or better offensively) to know which side needed more protection and and which would be more fruitful to attack.
Interesting to see how he implements it going forward.

As Creswell/Anderson is 10x better than Fredericks and Yarmolenko. So that doesn’t really hold up
He didn’t get it wrong, Yarmolenko (dangerous player) was anonymous all game and for us both Davies and Aurier had very good games. Barring the last 20 mins were our energy levels dropped, we were cruising to victory for the previous 70 mins.
Very interesting. I've noticed since Mourinho has become coach that we have been linked to centre backs rather than right backs. Maybe it's for this reason. Mourinho happy with Aurier, Foyth at RB and Davies, Sessegnon at LB? Aurier and Sessegnon as wing backs and Davies and Foyth as the 3rd centre backs? Also means with Dier in CM and Foyth RB that we're light at CB hence the need for Ruben Dias?Could well be, just use Foyth as the 3rd CB when attacking.
I'm not totally against the idea of using him as a wide man in a rotation with Son & Lucas. That would free up money we would spend up front on a badass LB like Chilwell or something. While I think he could do a job at fullback or winger, I just get this feeling Sess (at his current age) is going to be a winger for us. He's got all the attributes to develop into a top winger - pace, dribbling, creativity, finishing; but I think most of all Jose is going to love his physicality and work rate. For this reason I think he'll find a way off the bench and onto the field regardless of the game's current situation, whether we're in hunt for a goal or attempting to protect a lead.
The Athletic:
Another reason for Mourinho to be cheerful is that he finally has the chance to coach Ryan Sessegnon, having repeatedly tried to sign the teenager from Fulham while in charge at United.
