I see Lo Celso has yet to be informed that Tottenham corners aren't supposed to clear the first defender.

it’s clearly the game plan. it’s how we’ve played under Mourinho. what is he expecting?

Thing is though when you sit back and absorb pressure you have to offer something going forward somewhat occasionally. I don't think he's bemoaning us sitting back, I think he's bemoaning us sitting back without really looking like having a way or effective way of getting out, creating chances or just simply playing a bit of football.

Why are our tactics ‘sad’ we’ve played ‘pretty football’ for as long as I’ve know and won absolutely nothing, it’s just a different style of playing. Watch athletico last night, they did the same thing to Liverpool and got a very credible effective 1-0 win. It might not be tiki taka but it can be effective, sure if it’s not getting results then that’s hard to watch but so far it’s working very well under Jose.

I've got nothing against playing cynical and pragmatic football. But we're illequipped to do it and quite frankly not very good at it.

Are you seriously comparing us to Atletico? Their intensity and defensive work is top notch. Leipzig had more shots on target in the first 2 minutes than Liverpool had all over 90 minutes last night.

Anyway, I feel like we misunderstood each other more than anything else. COYS!

Not watching tonight, but assume by the lack of 'FFS Dele', that he's not touched the ball much?

Sigh, mourinho masterclass my arse
Well, anyone who has followed football a little closely the last decades have seen that his only real achivement was with Porto (which was impressive!). Everything since has been a result of throwing more money at a problem than anyone else (and even then he failed at times). I was hoping he would somehow rediscover the magic of his youth, but has instead yet again been exposed as a sham

I really hate only having two midfield players. It worked when Dembele and Wanyama/Dier were in beast mode, but every other combination of players has always felt so lightweight to me. Don't like the 4-2-3-1 and never really have - at least not when the whole team isn't pressing like mad.
