I thought Dier had a good game until the penalty but overall we were disciplined but lacked any invention. Played like an underdog playing away. Not the type of football I want to see from my club, especially at home.

Lloris was excellent, Dier played well, Sanchez had a much better 2nd half, Aurier had a very good 70 mins but then deteriorated. Davies was steady and improved as the game went on. Overall I think our defence played well.

What cost us 3 pts was the persistence to keep a passenger in Kane on the pitch and not to beef up the midfield whilst keeping options up top for the counter. We lost our balance and were bullied in the middle of the park.

Well you need to get used to. It is how Jose plays in big games. Always! In the past with great success.

It's fair to say our problems are glaring at us.

I thought for large parts the defensive structure was better, much better.

But you're always going to have problems when the likes of Aurier can't do the basic tasks of not losing the ball easily in dangerous positions and Winks is incapable of screening a defence.

Kane and Son clearly need a run of games as they are so far from being match fit. Both were slow on the ball, stretching after loose touches - very rusty.

Bergwijn on the other hand was sharp.

I thought the strategy would have worked if we had someone screening rather than Winks and Lo Celso as the creative spark.

Sour grapes. But he couldn’t wait to give a pen. And then another one. They had run out of ideas. Thank fuck for VAR

My god Dier didnt need to make a challenge. The pen was harsh but when u have refs itching to give a pen dont make it easy for them. Desperatley need a new defence.

He did. He let Pogba get past him, That was the first mistake and then he tried the arm lock

Two hours ago, we’d all have taken a point.

We were literally winning the game until the ref failed to give us a clear corner and we gifted them a penalty.

That was a vast improvement on getting run ragged by them at Old Trafford earlier this season.

Calm the fuck down you lip wobbling tarts.

tbf, what exactly is he meant to do. I've always had issues with this logic, the ball wasn't played to him. Did alright with what he was given.
Injuries may have taken there toll and tonight his football in 6 months.
But he does look a million miles from his best.
I think Jose could have pulled him after 70 easily.
even if he wasn’t been given the ball we needed some running both defending and into space when we got the ball back

Well that was shit lol

Looked decent for about 15 mins of that match but just sat back and chilled and invited then on, not a fan of this it has to be said.

Having said that I think we can wing it like this but only with press resistant midfielders.

Why does Mourinho set us up every game like we are Burnley playing away to Barcelona, his negative tactics invited that equaliser

It wasn’t pretty but I think we had the game under control. Their pen was incredibly soft and shouldn’t have been given in my opinion. Should have won it.

Well, at least that quickly extinguished the hope that we'd make the champions league places

When I saw the line up I thought we would get battered. Feisty performance. I can take a lot of positives from that. COYS.
Agree - we ran out of steam after 70 mins but performance was good and most players have given good account of themselves

Europa League it is next season..... if that... Can’t even beat this shit United team at home....

Honestly what’s Mourinho problem with Ndombele?? He would’ve done much better than Winks in the last 30 minutes. And Gedson on the wing instead of Sessegnon??
What’s the crack with playing at home now? Surely if you’re the home team a sound engineer can pump up the jam for the home team with boos or silence for the oppo or isn’t that allowed?
We’ve got the best sound system in the league so why don’t we use it?

Defensive players all did fine. Dier got done by Pogba for the penalty but put off a great block about ten minutes earlier on Martial. Sissoko and Lamela were busy and Sissoko in particular stepped up defensively when others were tiring. Son was good in flashes. Kane played like he had a piano on his back.
