Bear with and I might have this completely wrong. His cousin delivered a bed for us and I am sure he said he was a Spurs fan. Hahaha
This is it, ladies and gents, the definitive signal that the Transfer Window 2020 is up and running: DFS ITK

It would be great to finally have a second striker and he would tick alot of boxes but one thing that would worry me is a lad with a poor injury record coming into our treatment room - not sure he would end up being available all that often.

Can't see 10m being realistic either as other clubs will want him.

"We need a back up striker to be able to let Harry not have to play every single minute of every single match all season"

Linked with a striker who makes for a plausible solution.

"No, not this one"

There'll be a scrum for his services at 10m. If he wanted to come here for that money and wages were sorted I'd be fine with it.

Gudjohnsen is still 6ft and was presence in corner/free kick and crossing situation and if I am not wrong, his aerial dual winning ability was fantastic ...

All 3 of drogba, costa and kane are similar height 1.88m. He also used adebayor as back up of higuain and benzema in real madrid .. He had eto/milito/pandev/balotelli at inter (Eto was short though but then again it was Eto who could play as winger as well) ...

Wilson is 5'11.

You think Mourinho is going to disqualify him for being an inch shy of this arbitrary and apparently non-negotiable 6 ft+ rule you've already proven doesn't exist?

If the fee is £10mil then makes a whole lot of sense. In an ideal world we would sign someone who can play across the front line like son, but with limited budget this summer would be a good signing.

he would get plenty of game time if we qualify for the Europa League as well so Kane can stay fresh for the league

To me this is the most sensible link I've ever seen! Proven goal scorer, PL proven, Home grown, cheap, would be happy to be back up, certainly do a job.

Watch us sign Joel Piroe from Sparta Rotterdam!

Wilson will be a sensible signing, but 10m ???
Even though he is on a high salary for Bournemouth, why would they let him go so cheap with still 3 years left on contract for just 10m
I cant see him being sold for less than 25m...I feel he is still a buy at that price given he also ticks as a homegrown

On a side note, If I were a Bournemouth supporter, this is not the sort of news I want to see on the morning of the deciding day of the PL

Not that it matters who he supported as a kid, I’m sure he did an interview a few years back saying he was an arsenal fan.

Maybe the price is because there is a relegation release clause in his contract?

I would be really surprised if we buy callum wilson.. Not the profile of strikers Mourinho likes.

My last post on this thread before we eventually buy wilson and Mourinho doesn't use him.

I think it would be more to do with lack of income, lack of PL money (but still parachute payments) and high wage.

Wouldn't be surprised if the £10m is to get a lot of interest and hope the price gets pushed up.

If Wilson is the best available I still think we go with him. Could all be agent bollocks in the end though trying to get his man a move on the day they are likely to go down. They will be rats jumping from a sinking ship if they go down. Maybe he’s trying to get off the boat first?

Would be a decent option. Would prefer Josh King but hey, I'm not picky!

King’s contract apparently expires in less than 12 months. So would imagine that he would not be very expensive either.

Think we could do a lot worse than either Wilson or King as back-up CF.
