Not sure the negotiations for this deal are going any differently than the Hojbjerg one (or most transfers in reality).
Buying club offer low fee
Selling club set higher price
Selling club leak interest from another club
Buying club leak interest in an alternative player
Negotiations go quiet
Compromise price agreed
Deal done.

Only difference is that we’re the selling club (and of course our dear leader who drags these deals out beyond all belief).

All of which points to serge being our backup RB for this season…

Everywhere says June 2021, that’s less than a year. I’m on about Rose not Aurier.

Rose is in the last year of his contract.

It was reported somewhere that he was looking to run his contract down in the hope of getting a better deal when he was out of contract. I can't believe that Rose will agree to any transfer. The best that Spurs can hope for is another loan deal. Jose will mot want him around the first team squad.

Not sure I buy their interest - but yeah, if I had interest from AC Milan, Leverkusen, Monaco, and Wolverhampton, pretty sure I know which one I would not pick!
Why so disparaging about Wolves? They are a very well run club with ambitious owners and a very good manager who the players obviously respect. Don’t know if you can say the same about all of the others!

Tough decision, but I’m going Monaco (basically his home country and fucking gorgeous), Milan, even Germany before the Midlands

So would you rather spend your evenings in Birmingham/Wolverhampton or Milan or Monaco?

I'll take my hat off to Levy if he manages to swap out Aurier (to whoever) for HG Doherty and turns a profit at the same time. Very astute bit of business.
