After watching the latest three episodes of 'All or Nothing' last night, it has further cemented my decision that I don't want him back. Carried himself like a professional for the most part but Levy & Jose tried on several times to convince him and his mind was firmly made up. I don't dislike the guy for wanting a new challenge but he was adamant on a move away from the club and unfortunately for him, the grass wasn't greener. If he had been in sensational form for the past couple of years maybe I would be more torn, but the fact that he has been pretty average for some time now makes it an easy decision for me.

Couple of things here.

1) He wanted to leave. Why would he want to come back?

2) Levy is punchline both here, on social media and within the media itself when it comes to being a tight/frugal/idiotic bean counter with only the bottom line at heart. In what world is he going to sell a footballer for 15 mill and then just 7 months later fork out the original 15 plus another 25 (plus fees, wages) ...

Sorry, but back the salt lorry up.

he was happy at spurs and liked everyone let’s be honest there are only a handful of clubs a step up. the facilities and management are the best in the world!

it was very strange personnally I think if he came back he would play very well.

Do people buy this change of scenery bullshit? He doubled his wages, probably more than if the rumours inter fans suggest. I watched every game he played for Inter and he has been a shadow of his former self, let him go where he wishes, just not back here.

If Jose wants him then why not?

cant be arsed with the pettiness of saying he didn’t try etc. Jose knows better than us what went on and if he wants him then let him have him. Basically we should be giving Jose all he needs to do what he does best. Win

For last 2 years he wasn't at a level we a as a club should require, nor here or at Inter. Why should we buy him again after 6 months for at least twice as much money we sold him? Makes totally no sense.

This!

I think he left as he already publicly laid his cards out on the table last summer (saying he wanted a move up) fair enough I don’t begrudge any player this, he have us 6 years of service, very good service...and won nothing, despite being one of the best in his position.

He is still only 28, PRIME age, he wouldn’t need to settle in, he could hit the ground running. If he got that fire in his belly back from a couple of years back we would solve a massive hole in our squad, and one of the best in his position in the world on his day. If Jose wants and Christian wants them I am all in. As you have said Jose knows better than any of us what is needed, if it’s him then so be it.

Yes. Watch ‘All or Nothing’ Levy says to him on camera that the club would match any wages offered by other clubs to get him to sign a new contract. Eriksen clearly says it’s not about the money and that he wants a new challenge.

I like the series but its mostly staged, Eriksen is on £260K odd a week at Inter , possibly rising to £320K that is more than Kane. He ran his contract down, basically lying to the club on the way so he could exploit the situation for his own gain. I like Levy a lot but he is using the documentary to try and win over fans who want him out.

Yeah he clearly always sits around the canteen all the time :ROFLMAO:.

Levy must’ve thought he was dreaming when Amazon rang him up and pitched the documentary to him.

So let me get this straight, you’re going to pay me millions of pounds for a propaganda piece that I’ll essentially have complete editorial control over? Sweet.

Again I like Levy but its pretty much what it is, a puff piece for him and Jose. I do like the behind the scenes stuff with the players and youth and physio's etc.

I’ve only seen the first 3 episodes. I’ll probably watch the rest but I’m in no rush.

How do you know that? There a few reports from laughable sources/websites saying that but there are also reports from more reputable sources that he is on closer to 125-150k a week. Eriksen made clear 2 years ago he wanted to leave, he said so publically. He didn't lie to anyone, he told the club he would not be extending his contract. The fact he wasnt sold then is down to the club, if the club felt he was more valuable to them playing for 18 months than moving him on I fail to see how you can blame the player for that. It's crystal clear that it was nothing to do with money.

Not for this thread, but I find the idea the doc is staged laugable, sure its clear everyone is aware the cameras are rolling and behave accordingly but the notion its all set up is ridiculous. Just because what you see does not fit with whatever narrative you have in your head does not mean that it's fake, it is possible that you are simply wrong.
