Sooooo, now we have from Option A to Option J. Now that is really progressive. It only used to be up to about Option D or E (unless it was the manager search that is where it got to XXXL).

Let's push the button and sign 'Tommy' and get that done at least.

JJ on Twitter responding to a post about Kounde deal being agreed:

"Sorry to burst the fake news bubble but It’s not true".

FWIW Paratici is the one doing negotiations etc! DL not involved! Obviously he is aware.

Great for us tbh.

Firstly he sounds like he gets things done with less tedious brinkmanship which stopped working five years ago than Levy.

Secondly he's good pals with lots of high-profile journalists who will leak shit for us to enjoy.

On the Kounde story, just heard it's true but complicated. Swap deals are rare but Sanchez is very close to Juan and they have been talking a lot about La Liga etc. Its a big reason why he is open to the move as he's been struggling personally since his best mate has left.
It does seem that convincing the player is the crux of this deal then.

Ally gold said in his latest video that Paratici likes to be in negotiations with up to ten players for each position, so he can't be held over a barrel by anyone, so it makes sense that loads of names are being mentioned.

How on earth can he manage that when I can’t manage what I’m having for breakfast? ‘Ok Mr Chairman, £25m and a cream cheese bagel, sorry I mean bonus if we win the 2022 Champions League.”

Not asking yourself Herc, but does Paratici’s new position mean that the whole 4 person buying committee is now effectively defunct? Or is he leading this or replacing DL?

I also agree and cannot believe DL wouldn’t have his little paws in it somewhere.

One positive to take from this anyway is that we have a willing buyer for Sanchez if we want it??

If no one else comes in for Kounde then we’ll get him, and if someone else comes in and buys him then atleast they’ll have the money to take Sanchez off our hands?

I would hope he talks with Nuno on positions that need upgrades and Levy regarding the budget. After that it’s for him to go shopping. Otherwise it’s like me going to Lidl’s for a loaf and coming back with an inflatable jacuzzi

I was wondering basically the same. Does anyone know how the DoF role works at other clubs? Is Patrici essentially handed a budget and set free? Is he still bound to the salary structure if he wants to take a big swing? If he really wants Kounde (for example), can he offer him big money? This feels like such uncharted territory with DL not being directly involved.
My guess is Paritici can offer what he wants to anyone he wants. But, he then needs our Daniel to sign it off

Do you think those comments are for in here or the relevant thread provided. Think about it and get back to me.

And if they all agree to the terms we sign 5 right backs? It's a daft suggestion and even more daft to suggest this guy has a magic method that is his alone. As with most clubs, he probably sounds out a bunch of options to see if buyer and seller are in the same ball park and then goes for the priorities. The idea we negotiate terms with several players simultaneously, only to balk at all but one is dopey.
How would we sign 5 right backs? We would have our number one choice and several back ups?
