Also remember this is Nuno's 5th competitive game. Five games, four wins, one goal conceded and one defeat (that one was a very poor second XI and youth on the bench).

If you can't see the solid foundations being put in place I have no hope for you.

I'll take the nine points, but we need another creative mid ASAP. We were lucky to get the win today.

And a very tricky away game at Wolves.
I think both Wolves and Watford will do well this season on those respective showing so the wins and clean sheets could become more valuable as the season goes on

Very happy with three wins out of three. That's an excellent start and a great foundation to build on. That said, I'm not entirely convinced about Hojbjerg in the box-to-box role. He looks a bit lost in the final third and I don't think he has the subtlety of passing to be great there. Obviously puts in 100% work rate though.

Feel we definitely need reinforcements though especially if two of our supposed first teamers (NDombele and Aurier) aren't going to get s look in. Let's see what the next 48 hours holds eh?

It’s a win. Jammy goal disguises a pretty drab performance. Hard to argue with 3 wins out of 3 but we were crying out for greater control and creativity there. May as well sell GLC if not getting a run in a game like this.

Good peformances by Sanchez, Skipp and PEH. Not convinced Tangaganga is the answer at RB.

3 wins, no goals against, scum bottom of league while we're top and more to come in the transfer window. What's not to like. Congrats to Nuno and the boys. Great to have such a solid start to the season.

Won first three games for the first time, beat City, not conceded a goal, kept Kane, top of the league.

8 shots on target.

Still people moaning.

Youre right, and personally im ecstatic. However we have been here before, last season I think where we top of the table playing poor football... i dont think we are poor and its certainly a bit more attacking than Jose ball but I can see why some are hesitant.

Our next fixtures after the break are tough

I think people are seeing "we've struggled to dominate Watford and Wolves", but I get the feeling they'll be wildcards this season.

interested to see how Utd fare against them later today. I thought they were very good.

Last season we dropped more points from winning positions than anyone bar Brighton. We've just held onto three 1-0 wins on the trot. People will NEVER be happy will they?

With respect, we held onto a few wins like this early on last season too but it didn't last. Eventually, you can't keep riding your luck and hanging onto 1-0 leads in this league. The lack of any progressive substitutions was poor from Nuno and was the exact move (or lack thereof) that Mourinho got slaughtered for last season.

We might have won but it could have been so, so much easier. Not every game needs to be a horrendous slog to the finish. We have the technical quality to simply outclass teams - why drop to their level by not playing these players and choosing instead to scrap to the win?
