Then why you in here? If that's what you think will happen why you in here right now? So you can come back later saying "I told you so"?

Let people enjoy the day and discuss the possibility, because until tonight it can still happen.
Because it’s a forum to share opinions and discussion and I love Tottenham.

P.S I told you so!!!

This is madness. Now it's £50m? And some of you say pay it? I know we all want signings but let's take a second to breathe. That's too much for a club like us at this moment in time.

Here's a question. If we signed him do you think he would score 10 league goals for us? You'd expect a £50m forward to wouldn't you?
I don't think Grealish will score 20 league goals for City, which is what i'd expect for a £100m forward. I do expect Grealish to be massively contribute to City winning the majority of their games though. Same thing with Adama and us.

edit: and a pointless doh rating, very mature contribution to the discussion, well done chap ?

He is a winger though, and he can assist 10 goals or helps create them, and gets us back in CL or at least Europa, it's better than where we are just now!

50 million is a lot, but buying from another English club the prices are always higher, especially when they don't want/need to sell.

I think we'd score 10 more goals.

This is unsurprisingly the most marmite potential signing I've ever seen discussed on here, although the vote at the top says otherwise.

Re: value, I'd have guessed 50+ before all the rumours started anyway. 25mil loan or whatever we apparently initially bid is comical.

I was going on the high side, I guess. The recent one I had in my head was against Watford, I think, and he had a good dribble against a few of them, then was far too ambitious against whoever was on the edge of the box
Yeah this is what is so frustrating about him, you just think maybe if he squared it earlier or didn't try to do everything himself he would set himself up for a better chance and wouldn't have to snatch it at the end. At least with Traore you expect him to get into the right position. Then we can all be frustrated that he scuffed his shot or passed it to nobody instead, but at least it gives us another dimension which we are lacking currently.

Moura banged in a 2nd half hattrick in a CL semi final. Traore would’ve likely hit the ball out of the stadium while while trying to pass the ball.
He does that kinda thing once in like 15 to 20 games (I don't know the actual stats). He goes missing in far too many games and has the odd blinder. We have too many inconsistent players. Traore is consistent in what he does.

I’d love this to happen but I won’t hold it against the club for not spending +50m on Traore.

If it doesn’t happen I hope we’re considering using the funds for a back-up striker instead.

Who would you sign instead?

Yeah and Traore can only dream of doing something like that in his career. Point is, however inconsistent Moura is he actually has quite a lot of footballing ability. Traore is consistently good at beating opponents one on one as he’s a unit and he’s quick but he’s consistently shit in the final third coz he can’t pass or shoot. That he is consistent on.

HE CAN PASS FFS he cant shoot but he is a good footballer he lays on so many chances per game for wolves they just haven't taken them.

Interestingly, Traore’s expected goals and assists over the seasons aren’t much different to his actual output.

But his xT, this fancy new metric that I don’t really get, puts him in the top PL players last season. The Athletic had various categories for this metric measuring a player’s threat, such as passers and dribblers, and not a single Spurs player was featured in the top 20 for any of them.Traore appeared in two.

in other words, Traore may be pricey for his output but he addresses a glaring deficiency in our team. So that money may go further with Traore thanwe think.

This comparison seems to show a lack of ever watching both Sissoko and Traore ever play football.
Both have poor technique and take too many touches of the ball. Both can't shoot and both rely on their physical attributes to progress the ball and not their passing.

Not a bad thing to dine out on. In fact, he can dine out on that as long as he’s alive as far as I’m concerned. One of the happiest memories I have supporting Spurs for 30 odd years.

He’s looked good this season as well imo.
Couldnt agree more.
I would still much prefer seeing Baby oil boy on the team sheet tho. Onions innit.

xTraore?

Makes sense he'd be top of that, although Bertrand Traore might run him close.
