We have had the same problem for several seasons now: Against decent opponents who know how to defend we just don’t have the player or the methods to create chances.

We were never the Harry Kane team. We were the Christian Eriksen team.

Totally agree.. Heaven forbid the other team can have a say in the game and not make is play optimally..

Really not sure what Nuno should have done differently given the squad he has?
He could have played a decent side in Holland so we would be top not third in the group
His gamble has backfired horrendously, our season is now on the rocks

I will excuse Paratici for now
I won’t. He was brought in to improve the squad and he’s left us with one striker who doesn’t want to be here and no Eriksen replacement. We’ve replaced Vinicius, Bale and Lamela with an unproven Spanish kid. Our squad is a mess and he’s the one to blame for it.

He's probably not doing a bad job, he's just doing the wrong job.
Levy should have stuck to his vision and got us back on track with our identity and what brought the good years. Instead he hired a man that clearly is quality but in doing something completely different from what we needed.

Yes, but our lack of movement starts with Kane, has done ever since his body broke down. Been yeeaars now. We won't see good movement until the day he leaves.

Couldn't agree more. He is painfully static. Its also the reason we never press.

I remember a narrative where Mourinho was coaching the creativity out of our forward players and now you say they're being allowed to be creative and because they're not creative enough that's on Nuno? I'm sorry but those three should be good enough to improvise without a coach's help.
But they shouldn’t need to improvise. That’s my point. Look at Liverpool, City, even Arsenal. There are clear attacking moves every time they come forward. We’re just guessing.

Why was Kane marking Antonio? He just stood there and watched Antonio prod the ball in..
Kane isn’t bothered. Very stupid young man because he will never get a move like that. Play like he has this season and nobody will want him, including us. The way to get a move was shown by Luca Modric, raise your game and the best clubs will come in. He is totally unprofessional and acts like a child.

I personally think everyone is overreacting.
we were pretty comfortable away against West Ham. Conceded a rubbish goal, yes we didn’t do well in attack second half but West Ham barely created anything snd sat back at home.
moyes wasn’t trying to make subs at 0-0 either.
Nuno isn’t the man for the job but the reaction here over a tight 1-0 loss away is over the top

Glad we rested those 11 to lose midweek, only for those 11 to lose today in a 2nd half showing that would indicate they were on a rest. Same old shit, same old spurs.
