Any chance your mate was winding you up? Does he support another club?

Does seem perfectly plausible however.
Could be plausible if we could establish which interview this was. Apparently it was before the game on Sunday, but it's nowhere to be found. Pre match pressers are live with reporters so any comments made there would now be common knowledge.

He said it was the Sky interview, which would have been the one done for Super Sunday.

Even if the entire footage was deleted, it's extremely hard to believe there wouldn't be whispers about it all over social media and other places. Calling bullsh*t.

Only recent interviews with Conte on sky are pre match pressers which are live.

OK mate, I'm not here to prove to you that Conte did an interview with Sky last week. It was filmed at Hotspur way. Not sure when it's going out, or whether it's gone out. But I know what I posted is true. 100%

I dont really buy all this media "Conte is SO angry" stuff, fella has been here for 5 minutes and this Jan seems to be lighter on movement than normal.

Don't believe everything you read, its a story and a narrative they want to push because Spurs fucking up AGAIN will be big news. They want it to happen

I cannot believe for a second that the club are that stupid to hire him and not have spoken about the plan and I also don't believe they were stupid enough to promise him much in January at all, the summer is where the fireworks will happen and if he doesnt get backed then, then I can see it becoming a problem. A big problem

so, conte asked for vlahovic ( categorically not happening ) wants traore ( likely, but dragging & saw something earlier that wolves have increased price to £30m. probably bull shit ) not looking great with 6 days left.

wanted kessie and now seen that di marzio says amrabat is an option! very underwhelming in my opinion.

Yes, worrying. Smacks of just getting bodies in to fill holes in the squad. If Kessie is off the table I don't think there have been credible links to any other CMs? Given how close Di Marzio is to Para / Conte, this has probably got truth in it.

Ok so it was for super sunday, but sky decided to edit the interview because spurs didn't like it then sky decided not to show the edited version on super Sunday despite the interview being made specifically for super Sunday. Someone else said it was for super sunday so I take it they were incorrect.

Then Conte is being unreasonable and needs to rein it in. Players dont just come because you demand them. If we went in for Vlahovic and did what we can but he opted for Juventus - then you cant blame us for anything really and Conte would be unreasonable to feel let down.

I mean Kessie is another - if we did what we can but he decides not to come until the summer then what else can we do - hold a gun to Kessies head for him to come now?

Its frustrating all this but id rather get the right players in and if that means waiting till the summer then so be it.
We didn't really 'do what we can'. Arsenal made a formal offer, we never did. Have a bid accepted by Fiorentina and then let Vlahovic reject us.... At least that shows Conte that we are serious and trying to get him his targets... (I suspect the main problem is that we're not serious and not really trying to get his targets as we have a tiny transfer budget).

Mate honestly it's not that complex. This kind of thing happens all the time. If you don't want to believe what I've said that's entirely your lookout. No biggie

If Levy has lead Conte down the merry path and this ends badly, quickly then Levy's legacy would be completely ruined by the sheer size of the revolt from the fans. It would be so poisonous its untrue.

Levy might have messed up a lot on the football side but he can't be that stupid. We are beyond Ashley at Newcastle levels of fucked if this goes sour anytime in the next 12 months, I just can't see how anyone with an ounce of a brain cells can think its ok to hire Conte and mug him off with in 3 months.

I don't see how Levy can set foot in that stadium again if Conte walks before the start of next season

If you believe the Summer is going to be any different then you are in for a surprise.

It doesn’t matter who’s in charge for us, our spending policy remains the same.

The frightening thing is we all know the club are quite capable of not backing him. They've done it with previous managers.

The current crop of players we are being linked to today is quite worrying and highlights a lack of ambition and the finances to back the manager in this window.

We're at the stage where we are just hoping they do back him and Conte has the patience to wait, if that is in the summer.
