This reminds me of the window where Lucas came in. Felt like a deal was done around the middle of the month but it didn't go through until deadline day to make us look busy. Feels the same with Adama.

Vlahovic looks like he's gone and Kessie sounds ropey too. Paratici has his work cut out this week. Conte won't stand for any BS.

interesting tidbit of info from a Sky Sports interview with Antonio last week via a mate who was there -- Antonio spent much of the interview complaining about not having any signings yet and not having any money to spend. THFC then saw the cut of the interview and demanded Sky edit all that stuff out of the broadcast version.

Sorry but i dont buy this for one second. No way Sky would agree to cut all that content out of an interview and all the hours of content that it would fill and generate.

It is disappointing, but signing Vlahovic was always clutching at straws. The guy is now mentioned in the same bracket as Mbappe and Haaland, so no surprise he opts for Juve over Spurs.

I hate the way Levy/Enic runs our club, but I do feel there is nothing more we could have done if we've been played by an agent.

Surely Conte has to appreciate that we were never going to be able to compete with Juve over Vlahovic once they came in big for him. This isn't like Chelsea cheaping out on Lukaku after winning the title - we're not as high in the footballing food chain and don't have unlimited money.

IIRC no other club was seriously in for Lukaku when he went to Inter, either. They had a free run at that deal - it was just a matter of paying the massive fee.

90% of players would pick Juve over us given our current state. That's just an undeniable fact.

Then Conte is being unreasonable and needs to rein it in. Players dont just come because you demand them. If we went in for Vlahovic and did what we can but he opted for Juventus - then you cant blame us for anything really and Conte would be unreasonable to feel let down.

I mean Kessie is another - if we did what we can but he decides not to come until the summer then what else can we do - hold a gun to Kessies head for him to come now?

Its frustrating all this but id rather get the right players in and if that means waiting till the summer then so be it.
